Such a cute Advent Calendar
This advent calendar is adorable, so much fun to look at, so many fun details in the house. I generally love doll houses and this is just the cutest cardboard doll house that is also an advent calendar. As other reviewers have stated it does not stay open but that didn't really matter to me. I will display this calendar every Christmas.

Great pop-up advent calendar
It's actually a real challenge to find some of these, which makes it that much more fun every night. It's a bit difficult to keep it open but we just tuck the top behind the window blinds and it stays. It's so cool looking with so many details. A lot of effort went into this and at $8 it's a steal.

Does not stand open. Windows VERY difficult to open.
It was cute and affordable. However, it did not stand open, so it was very difficult to display. The numbered windows were very difficult to open (some where impossible to open without ripping). My son lost interest after a week.

very cute, awkward to stand up until you figure out the secret prop
We just opened this today to count down to xmas. We struggled to keep it propped open until we discovered (accidentally) that the "wall" behind the table folds backward to prop the whole thing open (you can see this in the photo on the back, but there are no instructions to actually tell you to do it). With the prop in place, it does stand up pretty well. I'd give it five stars if it had instructions and if it were a bit more sturdy - but it's super cute and I'm optimistic that it will hold up until the 25th : )

Gorgeous & fun! Read here trick to brace open ;)
Gorgeous & detailed! Brace in 3 places to keep open - bend back the wall behind table; bend fwd the two doors in the center (into tabs in the floor), and bend fwd the drape on the back wall. It’s really lovely and fun, the drawings printed on both sides so it’s very 3D, and some numbers just hard enough to find to make it a challenge. My 12yo loves it. I’m grateful to the reviewer who mentioned the trick to bracing it ;)

Poorly made
Really difficult to open some of the tabs. Some are TINY! More difficult than it should be to locate some of the numbers. We’re 13 days in and it’s already falling apart.

Had to return
The calendar itself was really pretty and the artwork quite good. Sadly, one window was completely sealed shut and when pried open the picture underneath came with it. Also, it was missing a pop up section that had a window on it, so I had to send it back. What a shame because it was one of the nicer advent calendars out there. If you get one that isn't flawed, it would be a great Christmas gift.

Gift
The sisters I got this Advent Calendar for love it. They are 9 and 10 and I usually get them one where you just open the window for the day. But this one is a little more complicated. You have to look for the day and then put it together. They loved it.
