Hello, Its does state this on the listing. Suitable for: Wool, silk, cotton, linen & viscose. Mixed fabrics will achieve a lighter shade of colours and synthetic fabrics like polyester and nylon won’t dye Regards Minerva

I think as long as you use enough dye (as per the label/weight) it will work ok. I have done the same thing myself although it was speckles of bleach but it did cover them. Good Luck.🍀
