Field Tested Systems Periodic Table of Spectra

Excellent teaching tool to explain to middle school students the light spectrum for the elements.

As I started looking into building a spectroscopy kit for my astronomy rig, I concluded that I needed a handy reference for identifying the spectroscopic fingerprint of numerous elements. This poster is exactly what I was hoping for: every element of the periodic table for which an emission spectrum is available is displayed here. Granted, when analyzing stellar spectra one observes absorption lines rather than emission lines, but this is no reason to overlook this useful and attractive reference for the wall. I have it displayed prominently in the room where I store my astronomy gear and examine it regularly to stay fresh.
