The volume is fine
Feels very chunky in your hand. It is a lovely, built, quality sound, and the volume is more than loud enough. Don't be put off by some of the bad reviews which say that the volume is too low. Maybe their headphones are not the best. You have to use your own.

Overall Very good, good quality for the price & would recommend
This DAP is Very good for the price range. Have to issue with any audio formats. The OS could use some improvements but is functional overall. I use a 256gb card & have about 3000 songs at the moment, the OS can be a bit sluggish at times. I have used both wired & Bluetooth & I have had no issues with the Bluetooth dropping I have used both 4.1 & 5.0. Good sound quality but the volume is set as 0 to 30, I would prefer of the increments were smaller something like 0 to 50 or 0 to 100. I have had an issue I accidentally removed the SD card when it was on & now I can't use the DAP because everytime I put the reformatted card back into it, it corrupts the card & won't read. I am currently in contact with Phinistec support to fix this issue.

Great value Media player... even better now after update.
I bought this player for my partner and these are his thoughts; My hopes for a great experience were confirmed. It feels very good in the hand and the overall size and weight is ideal. The aluminium and glass build feels premium and like it was built to last a lifetime. The physical controls are tactile and precise and adds to the premium feel, the Bluetooth is stable the battery life is outstanding. I would have preferred physical navigation buttons but the capacitive controls are fine once you get used to them. The actual sound itself is very imressive for the cost point. It is very loud when you want it to be without losing too much clarity. While I was satisfied with the navigation system there were areas that I felt could have been better. One was the user interface, I felt that a slightly bigger font would have helped. Well! that has now been addressed with the recent firmware update.. V2.6 (available via email and easy set up), the update has addressed this particular complaint for me. Along with this, there are now numerous other navigational and visual tweaks which makes it more user friendly. To sum up, this is an easy recommendation from personal experience. As long one can adjust their expectations and not be expecting a Astell&Kern, FiiO or Sony, I think most people will be very satisfied with this Media Player.

So good and yet so bad.
Bought in September 2023 and I am pleased with the capacity and the sound is superb but it is so close to being perfect. The shuffle aspect is rotten , I have just listened to 6 songs 5 different ones and Roxy Music ‘ More than This ‘ twenty times . I have inserted a huge card into this player but it only shows 8000 tracks which I think is a capacity of a 64 gb card. As previously reported the volume is way down on what you would normally expect and I am running what I think is the latest software. Please Phinistec so these problems out and 5 stars will be yours.

Perfect for my needs
I wasn't impressed with this player after I tried to update the firmware, in fact the player froze, I contacted the company and I have to say what a joy it was to find a company that actually goes that extra mile for its customers They actually sent me a link to some software enabling me to format the device and flash it with the latest firmware, it works a treat now, this company really treats its customers well.

Waste of time stick to your phone or buy an alternative, Also a complete pain to return
First off the construction of this player is second to none, absolutely solid with really excellent buttons and jack sockets, good display and relatively easy navigation, here the good stuff ends, as an mp3 player it is woefully inadequate whilst the Bluetooth connectivity is good the sound quality and volume are definitely well below what you would expect from such a well designed and constructed player. The volume limitations are reminiscent of the Sony mp3 sticks but worse. I bought this based upon YouTube reviews, sadly misled by the reviewer who stated that full volume blasted his ears lol. Tragic that such a well designed piece of hardware is letdown by the firmware. Now listening contentedly to my iPhone with the same Amazon buds at 60% volume and it outperforms this player at 100%. Advice stick to your phone.

Form and function
The device is both rugged and super stylish at the same time, a real thing of beauty. I listen to music for several hours a day around the house and garden. I don’t use my phone because of the wear it puts on the battery. This player, with its extraordinary battery life, toughness and the fact that it fits comfortably in the pocket is the ideal solution. I had a question for Customer Support regarding the Shuffle mode; I emailed the support address in the manual and had a friendly and helpful response in 10 minutes!

Bad Shuffling, Mediocre Bluetooth, Yet easy to use and Long battery life
Battery Works well holds charge for many hours, Bluetooth can drop out occasionally, shuffle will also work intermittently and get stuck playing the same few songs, easy to use yet lack of external support such as cases or straps however comes with plastic screen protectors front and rear.
