I left the float such that my daughters would see it when they returned from school. They were both very excited. It is a bit too large for my 4 year old to comfortably float in it, but it is about perfect for my 7 year old.I think so long as they aren't too boisterous you could probably site someone up to age 12 or so in it. An Adult might just about be able to lean over it.I found the seams to be OK on this item, unlike some rings I have had recently. However the one-way valves were a bit pathetic. Not a massive problem so long as you remain aware whilst you are blowing it up.

When I read the size of this float in the description and the advice that it is for age 10+, I was skeptical. Indeed, I would say 10 is the maximum age that will fit in this, not the minimum. My daughter loves the unicorn shape and the glitter, but all I can think is that if it gets a puncture, that glitter will be a mess all over the pool! On the one I received, there is a small spot where the plastic is cut too close to the seam, so I think it is unlikely this will last more than one season. But most inflatables don't last long anyway.
