Frontier Co-op Organic Cut & Sifted Marshmallow Root 1lb

First time I've tried marshmallow root from Frontier and I'm so happy with it! Yes it has a strong smell but the marshmallow root I was buying from a different supplier also had a very distinct smell. But this seems to be a superior product based on how well it gels when I make an infusion, and how wonderful it tastes when I drink it - very fresh tasting. It also makes my gut feel good. Thank you!

I make homemade marshmallows with this and OMG - WAYYYY better than the store bought. Do yourself a favor, and make them!!

Makes good tea

I have bought both the 8oz and the 16oz bags by the same manufacturer and found the 16oz package to be far superior in freshness and flavor. The 16oz bag of marshmallow root was white, larger cuts, and tastes mild and slightly sweet. The 8oz bag was darker in color, more of a crushed consistency, and had a smell and taste like celery, though still pleasant and effective for stomach ailments. I definitely prefer the product I got in the 16oz foil bag and would suggest it over the 8oz.

This large Dried Herb container came very quickly. It has a very earthy taste and isn't sweet like I was thinking it might be. One of the recommendations are to bring to a boil and then transfer to a jar and refrigerate to get cold. It does thicken up. That was the best tasting way to take. The HOT version i added a cinnamon stick or some peppermint tea. It was easy to use and the freshness was good. Good for Soothing Sore Throats and Coughs,has a long history of supporting respiratory health, and helps with reducing Inflammation. My throat feels so much better and my croopy cough is gone.
