You only do it because you have to, everyone knows it isn’t for the gustatory experience. TL;DR They’re gross because they’re iron gummies. They’re good quality, absorption, price for iron supplements. When I have anemic symptoms I take a dose of those on top of my regular supplements and I feel better. I haven’t done blood work but lessened symptoms is good enough for me. There’s a pleasant fruit flavor that is completely overwhelmed by the bloody taste of iron. They taste like chewing on a bloodclot with grit in it. Luckily they’re softer than you’d expect, unluckily it clings to your teeth big time. Bring a strong chaser like whiskey or a carbonated drink. They have never caused me to have an upset stomach, and almost everything does. Long story short, it ain’t a spoonful of sugar. It’s a testimony to self preservation… but all iron supplements are.

These gummies are very gentle on the stomach and cause no side effects. They work fast (proven by lab results), and they’re yummy! Very sweet. Towards the end of the bottle though, they become sticky and taste a little gross, but still work.

I wasn’t fully meeting my daily iron requirement and wanted a low dose supplement. These fit the bill well. I’m an older woman and don’t need that much iron daily, so taking only one of these gummies a day meets my needs. I don’t know why others are complaining about the taste though. It’s an iron supplement not a piece of candy. That said I find the taste pretty good. These have a pleasant berry flavor with only a slight iron-like aftertaste that doesn’t linger.

Let’s just cut to the chase here: these things are awful. They’re up there on a list of the worst things I’ve ever eaten in my life. It tastes like I’m licking the post on a rusty swing set. It tastes like I’ve gobbled down a handful of pennies. Dracula would love these things - he probably eats them as a midnight snack. You take a bite, and it’s like your open-mouth-drinking a nose bleed. Like you accidentally bit half of your tongue off. Like you’ve just eaten a dirty train track lollipop. That all being said, I do believe that they work. I became anemic after losing a lot of blood and figured I’d try these because the side effects of iron pills suck. I haven’t had any bad side effects yet. I’m finally starting to feel a little better, and it’s only been a few days. Take these and then slam a shot of whiskey or some other strong alcoholic beverage that will completely wipe out the flavor. Maybe some pickle juice. Make yourself some kind of bloody Pickleback shot, and you should be good to go.

If you’re pregnant, skip these. I’m sure if I wasn’t pregnant they’d still taste awful but I legit cannot stomach these while pregnant. I wanted a gummy as a relief from all the pills I’m taking right now and this just makes me even more nauseous. Plus not only do they taste horrible, the texture is horrible too. They’re overly sticky and chewy. Really do not recommend.
