No vehicle should be without flares. They make a good warning device and a source of fire if needed. I used one to have deviate traffic after I came upon a semi vs car. I got curious and timed it. They do last at a minimum 30 minutes. Quality product and the nylon case makes it easy to stash them.

I really want to say the customer service offered is excellent! This is actually a rare thing to say these days with so many different companies. Had an issue with the first order that got resolved quickly and with no hassle at all. The Flares came in a red handle bag that makes them easy to store and quickly accessible for emergency situations. An extremely Five Star Company and definitely worth the money. Highway flares are an essential part of any highway safety kit. In addition, for those of you who worry about survival situations, it is one of the surest ways to get a campfire started in the event that you are caught out in the open with limited options for shelter. I always carry one in my backpack when I'm going to go camping, and it serves well as it will light under windy and wet conditions and stay burning for a long time. This kit comes with several flares, and I highly recommend that if you do not have any that you purchased this or another kid to provide you with a few more options in the event of an accident or a break down. The flares are very bright and the color is very noticeable. They do leave a lot of ash on the road, but I'm not sure whether this is harmful for the environment or not. Truth be told in an emergency that is not one of the biggest factors for me. These flares work well and are highly recommended. I would buy them again.

Every car on the road should have a set of these in their emergency kit. You have an emergency kit right?!? If not grab some of these, a small fire extinguisher, a first aid kit, some basic tools, a space blanket and a roll of duct tape. Tested one while camping, it burned bright enough to see from more than a mile away no matter how dark and rainy.

The carry pack is awesome everything will stay together and dry. Night time break downs are very dangerous. These could save your life,not to be to dramatic but true. Got them for my son.

I've used these flares several times. These work great. Highly visible & easy to use. I prefer flares over reflectors or signs. When I stop to assist a disabled car or accident, I can leave the flare when emergency vehicles arrive. I will certainly purchase more if I run out...again.

A must have for any vehicle emergency flare kit

The kit is extremely well designed, with the flares being packaged for safety. A Velcro stop on the bottom of the case prevents it from sliding around. There is also a roadside emergency vest included, a nice surprise. There is three flares stored on each side to prevent fumbles in low light conditions. I highly recommend this kit if there is no risk to fires from fuel or dead foliage (don’t want to start a forest fire).
