Revell 05093 Deutsches U-Boot TYPE VII C 1:350 Scale Unbuilt/Unpainted Plastic Model Kit

I thought, hey £6.99 for a submarine kit, that's good value! Except I did not note the scale or the actual size, which are actually both clear to see, so I was surprised when I saw how small it was. However this turned out to be a really fun build. I'm no master-builder but I had no problem with the parts and everything fitted together well. The prop and steering assembly at the back (sorry, stern) was a bit fiddly but, as other reviewers have said, with a bit of patience, some good tweezers and magnifying glasses, it's all do-able. This will definitely spur me on to build other, and bigger, submarines. Oh and I obviously am not trying to fool you in the pic that the sub is at sea, just thought it made a nice backdrop.

Nice model when completed. Unfortunately like all Revell models the sprues are of poor quality plastic. I'm an experienced modeller and have not come across such brittle sprues before And flash? But for £6.99. Ok.

Grabbed this as weekend project. At this scale, expect small pieces that will require good eyesight, patience, and tweezers. They can be broken or lost easily. I had to scratch-build one or two replacement parts. Otherwise, a nice and fun kit. Worth every penny. I wanted to do something a little more weathered.

This is a superb little model. Although very small with fiddly little parts they all fit well but you do need tweezers, care and a magnifying glass. One little bit went twang when cutting from the sprue and was never to be seen again. This is a very enjoyable kit. Need a British submarine to complement.

Great model less than 8in long and quite a tricky build. Definitely not for a beginner. You will need a couple of good tweezers , extra thin poly cement, and lots of patience. Worth the effort. Still got to finish painting and I will have a go at casting it into epoxy resin . Please don't tackle this without some modelling experience or it could put you off for life. In spite of the size moulding detail on hull and deck is very good. Overall good value.

el modelo en general es bonito, de plastico flexible, bastante peque;o pero es la escala, tiene pegatinas de agua que se tienen que poner con mucho cuidado, y la pintura, intrucciones de armado viene todo bien claro y especificado que caracteristicas contaba los 2 variantes de submarino que se puede armar, muy bonito la verda
