My Favorite Everyday Pen: Smoothness and Comfort Top-Notch
I am a user who writes a lot, both for work and personal hobbies, and I have tried dozens of pens. The BIC BU3 Grip quickly became my favorite, a true workhorse I recommend to everyone. The best feature is the extraordinary comfort; the barrel is slightly wider than normal and features an ergonomic rubber grip, which significantly reduces hand fatigue even after writing for hours. This makes it excellent for prolonged writing sessions or for people who write with heavy pressure. Furthermore, the smooth writing experience provided by the 1.0mm medium point is fantastic. It guarantees a full, vivid black line that glides effortlessly across the paper. You can forget the skips and smudges typical of cheaper ballpoint pens; this pen is reliably consistent. I also appreciate the smart design of the retractable side-click mechanism, which is solid and practical. It’s better than the classic top button because there is no risk of putting the pen away without retracting the tip. My only minor note is that, like all medium-point ballpoint pens, if you are a left-handed writer or have very heavy writing pressure, you need to allow the ink a moment to dry, especially on glossy paper. In summary, if you are looking for a reliable, comfortable, and incredibly smooth-writing pen for the office, school, or home, the BIC BU3 Grip is the right choice. It offers exceptional value for money and outperforms many more expensive pens in terms of comfort and performance. Highly Recommended Purchase!

4/5 stars - comfortable and reliable everyday pens with minor longevity drawbacks
I bought these BIC BU3 Grip pens for everyday writing at home and for university work, where comfort and reliability matter more than novelty. They are straightforward, retractable ballpoint pens with a noticeably thicker barrel and rubber grip, which makes a real difference during longer writing sessions. The ink flows smoothly, produces a clear medium line, and works consistently on standard paper without skipping. They feel dependable straight out of the packet, which is exactly what I expect from BIC for routine note-taking, forms, and general office use. The grip and balance are the main strengths, especially for people who write with firmer pressure or experience some hand fatigue. That said, longevity is slightly mixed. While some pens last a long time, others can run out sooner than expected, and the ink can take a moment to dry on glossier paper. They are also more expensive per pen than basic multipacks. Overall, they are comfortable, reliable everyday pens that justify their reputation, but they are not flawless.

Great Pens
Great functionality of these pens as my mum has Athritis in her hands. The pen locks out with a button to press to release it. This is a great feature if my mum presses down to hard. The have a rubber grip which is thicker than normal pens, which aids her gripping them. The writing quality is great, usual Bic quality. My mum finds it easy to use.
