Great fit and easy to install, tailgate works smooth as silk at long last after years of a broken latch. Quality seems excellent, was really glad it came with the small plastic latch-rod retainers as one of mine was broken. Even the inner surround was very thick plastic and had a very snug snap-in fit. Very pleased with it overall, and glad I didn't go with one of the cheaper all-plastic handles that get mediocre reviews at best. I found the best way to fit the inner surround was to leave the three large inner torx handle bolts loose so that the handle has some give, snake the inner surround in top-first, and snap the bottom in. Then give the torx bolts a final tightening.

Good fit but wasn’t expecting plastic

My son has my old 1997 GMC, the driver door inside was pooched, as the passenger door outside was just about to go, so used the set to replace them all, worked very well and he doesn't have to roll down the window to get out of his truck!!
