Why did you pick this product vs others?: It was so cheap I had to take a chance. It was clean and in good shape and it does all the basics. Will use for email and Netflix and that's enough for this price.

Great buy. I have a 2015 Acer Chromebook, but I left it behind in a recent move. I have a bunch of newer tech: a Mac laptop, MSI laptop, mini iPad, and Android phone, but the Chromebook was my go-to device for having a keyboard and Internet connection at a coffee shop. I take my iPad along, and it is a preferable long-term reading device, but the interface is second-class when you try to integrate a keyboard and mouse. An 11-inch screen and basic setup is perfect. The current Chromebooks have had too much function creep - bigger screens, touchscreens, and sort-of laptop functionality. Luckily, I found this seller with refurbished Acers newer then still usable "end-of-life" 2015 model. It arrived and has been great. The bottom had very slight wear, and the keyboard needed some deep cleaning (the tops were fine but as they were removable, there was some gunk around the bases---barely visible). There was a slightly visible "5" just below the keyboard (it was obviously from a school, library checkout, or something similar); however, there was no signs of heavy use or abuse. Based on my other Chromebook, I don't think the adapter is the orginal equipment, but it is correct for the battery. I say this because the fit is solid but loose. It fits firmly and charges correctly. However, if you move the Chromebook, it easily falls out. Because these are refurbished, you may get a third-party cable (but that is fine with me at the selling price). For the price, it was my best used technology find ever! None of the end-of-life limitations will likely affect how I use it as a basic functioning lightweight computing/Internet platform. I highly recomment getting one while you still can.

Ordered 2 as Christmas gifts for my daughters, figured it'd be a good trial before getting brand new laptops. Neither one of them worked. Both had rusted out charging ports and one of the hinges was cracked when we got them.

I needed a Chromebook for a very specific streaming application. I did not require a "workhorse" that would handle all of my current and future computing needs. I was, and still am absolutely SHOCKED at the quality of this refurbished product. I am sure it is "old" and that it is not hardware-compatible with future updates to the operating system, etc. However, it was $35 - delivered to my door. It was a pristine refurbishment. Clean, well packed and equipped with everything i needed. I had it up and running and in place with the application I had in mind in minutes. I could not be happier with how this turned out.

The computer works good but my issue is that the charger that came with it is frayed. It’s a short in the charger cord!

wow its better than i had expected. now to understand all the stuff i have to learn about the apps installed n here. love love love this.i would buy this again
