Got a lot of flash, but if you finish it it's brilliant
First the good things, its cheap, easy to build and is very good fun to build. Now the bad things it's got a lot of flash, the box art has bombs as the external weapons where as when you build it it has rockets, the instructions and tooling are from the 1960s and the external tanks don't fit on the pylons for them. But overall it is a very good kit for this plane and would, and will buy again.

Great for an experienced modeller who enjoys a challenge.
I had a really great time building this kit! Most reviews on here absolutely bash this kit, yes indeed it does have flaws (especially if you’re the kind of modeller where it’s all about the details) but I genuinely loved building this. I personally don’t mind that some of the details are slightly off, to me it still looks great. This kit is over 40 years old, so expect there to be a flash around some parts and maybe a fit issue or two, but nothing that some filler/sprue glue and a little sanding can’t take care of. I absolutely can not recommend this to beginner or first time modellers, but to an experienced modeller who likes a challenge then this is perfect!!!

A slightly frustrating build.
Apart from a handful of models I made as a kid, I've only been building seriously for about 18 months or so, and have built about 20 in that time. All from Airfix. This is my first Revell kit, so bear in mind that my opinion is very much based on how it compares to similar kits from Airfix. I generally found the instructions somewhat lacking... Where Airfix parts are given a letter and number combination which tells you which sprue to find it on and related parts are often grouped together, Revell just number them seemingly at random, meaning you have to search through each sprue for the smaller parts, or keep referring back to the start of the instructions. It's not a massive problem on a simple fighter kit like this with only 5 small sprues, but I imagine on a bigger kit, with many more parts and steps it would quickly become quite annoying. Some sections could have been clearer too. For example, fitting the undercarriage in the lowered position. The diagram doesn't give any indication that the outboard landing gear doors actually slide over each other when open on the real aircraft, and instead implies that they simply meet end to end, which if you try to do you'll find they don't fit. In the same area I also felt the kit would have benefitted from separate parts for gear raised or lowered. As it is, the landing gear doors have to be cut into three sections if you want them in the down position. Meaning there's no going back once you've decided. The inclusion of just two additional parts would allow you to change your mind if you wanted. Be prepared to remove a lot of flashing from the parts too. The paint scheme sheet was unfortunately printed in black and white, with the colours assigned letters and descriptions of each given on the back of the sheet. It's workable, but be prepared to put in some time to decypher it, especially if you're using Humbrol paints, for which you'll need to find a conversion chart online. On a more positive note, the decals were well done, and I thought were actually easier to work with than the sheets included with Airfix kits. They lifted from the card quicker and didn't seem as fragile.

Good price for a starter kit.
I've not constructed the kit yet, but fore the price, you can't go wrong. Its a good starter kit to play with and make mistakes with as you are learning.

El modelo trae algunas rebabas, pero nada del otro mundo. Muy buenos detalles y paneles negativos! Lo único en lo que difiere de la imagen, es que trae bombas y el modelo no las trae. De ahí en fura todo muy bien. Excelente enbalaje

I normally only do 1/48 scale planes but though it's 1/72, it's a great little kit. I've always been partial to Revell and AMT kits and this one did not dissappoint. Delivery was quick and packaging was great.

Model słabej jakości. Plastik się ugina, klej do modeli rozpuścił czesc kadłuba co nie zdarzyło sie do tej pory ani razy. Wygląda że wypuszczono serię ze złego plastiku.
