Super dope laptop imho!
Pros: Decent battery life Easy to upgrade. Just unscrew the bottom screws pop open the bottom lid (but be careful not to break the side ports and internal components obviously) and wala! You have access to the ssd ram and a spot for a 2.5” ssd or hdd. M.2 ssd and ram are fully upgradable. Ram goes up to 64gb max so you can do a lot with that It has usb 3.1 and usb c It’s fairly low power and lightweight too The onboard gpu isn’t too bad but the RTX 4050 is pretty good for what I use too. Both gpus perform well in Daz Studio Marvelous Designer and Blender I’m not a gamer but I do play GameCube Wii Gameboy and DS emulators and occasionally simcity 5 and a TON of simcity 4. On simcity 5 the most graphics intensive game i play I can crank the settings up to maximum using the RTX and it plays very smoothly and looks great as well. WiFi is wifi 6 so not too bad either but I use Ethernet so that doesn’t matter to me really all that much CPU is a 10 core 12th gen i7 with upper 4.ghz range boost clock so cpu rendering in blender and Daz is fairly painless. It’s not gpu rendering but still very good—definitely good enough for me and I make big complex scenes with lots of lights characters VDBs special effects and other intricate stuff also I do short animation clips as well so let that be your gauge. Cons: more like nitpicking—because ya know we ALL have nitpicks about everything It’s not 2.5gb Ethernet It has red led keyboard not RGB It too lightweight for me but that’s probably because all the previous laptops I owned were giant bricks of gaming laptops from the mid 2000s back when everyone used first generation i7s (or back then the ONLY generation i7s) you should have seen the dinosaur dell gaming laptop I had before this. Oomph! My back (and wallet) hurts just thinking about that old laptop I had before I bought this one. This is by far a massive upgrade and improvement! It’s ddr4 not ddr5 which is really not the worst thing for me as my gpu rendering workstation desktop pc runs a Maxwell gpus and 2666ghz ddr4 ram and it’s pretty good at gpu rendering. The RTX dedicated gpu is only 6gb vram but really for me I use it primarily for CPU rendering anyway and barely ever use the RTX on it except for computations in my rendering software and every once in a while my emulators and simcity 5 for which the RTX 6gb is plenty of VRAM for me This laptop is definitely worth getting if you’re looking for a really good entry level gaming enulator gaming or CPU based 3d graphics modeling and rendering laptop

Very Budget Friendly
This is without a doubt more of a family computer for younger kids such as elementary school. For any online homework, this will be just fine. You don't need a strong PC or laptop for their school work. This laptop runs Fortnite, Minecraft, and League of Legends just fine with the AMD CPU and RTX 3050 GPU. It might not be at max settings, but it'll be at Medium and high FPS for sure. 1080p screen so if they watch Youtube, it won't look blurry either. Overall, would recommend getting if you have small kids.

Definitely an upgrade
This thing is a beast. I haven't yet run a game that isn't able to use great graphics with great fps just fine. The screen is very crisp and well colored and bright. I like the lit keyboard a lot, which can easily be turned on and off. The webcam also works well, even if not the greatest image quality. The laptop is on the heavier side of laptops, but still super light and easy to carry either in your arms or in a backpack. I bring it to school nearly every day and the laptop hasn't broken at all; very durable metal. One more thing I really like is all the ports, especially the multiple USB ports. Well worth the money spent. I will say the battery doesn't last for super long, so I would bring the cord with you. The laptop itself doesn't have a ton of storage, especially if you need to download games. Also, the fans are really loud (it can get very hot even with the fans blowing full blast).

Good hardware, questionable plastic case
I needed a laptop that could/would run Windows 11 and was cheap. I have 1 count them 1 program that HAS to have windows 11 (cough cough intuit cough cough) because it's more "secure". So this showed up in the Amazon suggestions and it's a good collection of hardware (small hard drive but it's not embarrassed). It's called a "gaming" laptop and with a 4050 gpu you could use it for one, but a 15" screen? This laptop however, in my opinion, is a little on the "plastic" side. I have several MSI laptops, all gaming laptops (I buy gaming laptops because they come with Ethernet ports), and they are solid hefty laptops, I wouldn't have a second thought about putting on in a backpack. This laptop, I would use lots of padding, the case feels like it would shatter on the first drop. I won't be hauling this around, and this was a good deal. I did upgrade the hard drive to a 1tb. It's working fine. I'm happy with the laptop. It does what I needed.

Auntie is satisfy with the laptop
My Three Cents: My auntie needed a new laptop bad, her old one was a dinosaur and she dont know nothing about computers. I got her this MSI one, I know it says "gaming" but that just means its realy fast for her. She is so happy with it. It turns on super quick and she loves watching her videos and doing email on it, she said the screen is so nice and bright. It's probably way more power than she needs, but for the price, its good to know she has something that wont be slow for a long time.

Neither cool nor quiet! Beware if you use this for more than word processing!
This sits at roughly 77 degrees idle temp new out of box. No it's not sitting on carpet or any surface that would shunt cooling incorrectly. Maybe, MAYBE it would suffice if I got a cooling pad to prop it on but most people buy a laptop for the mobility, not for the "oh neat a cooling pad to put this on so I have no mobility!" The fans whine and are incredibly lad when I engage different cooling modes. MSI Center doesn't recognize half the components and the processor, while sufficient, doesn't warrant the amount of heat stress compounding on this unit. Printed my return slip a few minutes ago, this is a recipe for disaster. Should've gotten the alienware but I took a risk with MSI because their desktops are fantastic. Laptops? No. Never again. It is aesthetically pleasing though, and while advertised as "thin" the design is no different from any of my previous laptops. I didn't test the sound quality because I knew I was returning it at this point for a refund. Which will take weeks. Not happy right now.
