An excellent medical description and diagnosis of the various forms and effects of reflux. Without being too complex for the non medic it explains how to deal with the various forms in a common sense way without taking dangerous and unnecessary drugs. I followed Koufmans advice and my cough disappeared in days, the mans a geneous.

Reading this with an ounce of critical thinking really helped me on the right path to dealing with my cough. Useful book

A good book telling you about causes of chronic cough.

Finally some answers only take nearly 20 years and being past from chest consultants to ent consultants who continuesly say its the other departments.

The service from Amazon was excellent. The book was just what I expected.It gives an insight into gastrointestinal processes that can result in a chronic cough.

Very interesting reading and give me the boost to know I need to fight to get my chronic cough and other symptoms properly diagnosed.

Bastante interesante el libro aunq no me curó. Tengo tos crónica talvez por el esofago q me dijo el neumólogo estaba un poco abierto, talvez xq al estresarme se tensan los músculos y mis pulmones protestan aunque están totalmente sanos. No cenar demás y dejar tiempo antes de acostarme ayudó en la mayoria de las noches, igual q leer un libro relajante antes de acostarme. También hacerlo de lado derecho parece q ayudó. Los medicamentos q recomienda tienen efectos secundarios q no me animé a pedir receta a ningun médico. Talvez me hubieran servido, talvez no. Decidí no calar x evitar otras consecuencias.

This book by Dr. Jamie Kaufmann is a game-changer. The book was recommended by my Respirologist saying I was in the book and she was right. Is worth the read.

Anyone who is suffering from acid reflux should get this book. There are several different types of acid reflux and everyone has different symptoms. This book has tables that help you to diagnose which type you have and what you can do to alleviate your symptoms. I was having breathing issues at night and a weird cough after meals and when bending over......who knew that what I had was 'Respiratory Reflux'. The tables provided in the book can also help you chart your progess and see the improvement in your symptoms. I did not have 'heartburn' or some of the more common symptoms! The author of this book was a prominent New York doctor who treated over 10,000 patients, some who thought they had 'asthma' but it was the respiratory reflux.
