Is this finely or coursely ground? What is the country of origin?

I believe this coffee is from Peru. We no longer use this brand but I'm pretty sure they are roasted beans and not ground.

Does your flavored coffee contain propylene glycol?

In keeping with our promise of providing healthy, clean coffee, we make sure that the flavor oils we source for flavoring coffee are also organic and natural. We do not use artificial flavors. The FDA stringently regulates flavors labeling, including ‘natural flavor’ labels, which we obviously have to comply with. FDA defines natural flavor as a substance extracted, distilled, or similarly derived from a plant or similar, either as is or after it has been roasted, heated, or similar, and whose function is for flavor, not nutrition. The process of flavoring the coffee is done by creating the flavor in a liquid form. To do that the base flavors (depending on which flavor it is) are infused with ethyl alcohol organic which is one of our ingredients. In our flavored coffee, we can use several components, i.e. other flavoring agents such as cinnamon, clove, vanilla, ginger, hazelnut, and nutmeg. Again, they will all be natural. I hope this helps!

Caffeine levels? last time i ordered a low acid, organic coffee it was loaded with caffeine and tasted weak. it hyped me up so much i couldn’t drink

Great question, and to be perfectly honest, we do not test for it, so we cannot say with certainty. The average coffee has around 95mg of caffeine per 8oz mug. In theory an adult can consumer upwards of 400mg of caffeine a day, so 32oz of brewed filter coffee (not espresso). This can be found on the FDA website. For espresso, 1oz of espresso is around 60-70mg caffeine, so an average 12oz latte has 140+ mg of caffeine. Our coffees would not be vastly different in caffeine content than other coffees. That said, the lighter roasts have more caffeine content, and the dark roast has the least. This is a result of physics, where the a longer roasting process 'burns off' more of the caffeine. What is the shelf life?

Coffee does not actually go bad, the best assurance I can give you, is that we roast our coffee 3 times a week, and ship out then. If you are a coffee lover, you will be able to tell when opening the bag and tasting the coffee. Also, your beans’ greatest enemies are air, moisture, heat, and light. If our coffee bag is opened, it is best to store them in an opaque, air-tight container, at room temperature. Avoid clear containers, which will allow light to compromise the taste of your coffee. If you do not have an appropriate air-tight container, our coffee bags are actually the second best option, just make sure the re-seal mechanism is closed properly. If bags are unopened, you can store the bags in a normal kitchen cabinet, but preferably not with other foods with strong aromas. They will stay fresh this way for about 4-7 weeks. Avoid the refrigerator, there are too many aromas of other foods. If you want to store them for more than 6-8 weeks, you can freeze the coffee. The coffee will stay fresh for 6-9 months. Just make sure the bag is airtight. Remember to take them out a few hours before grinding or using them, so the beans have time to thaw. Lastly, we strongly recommend buying whole beans, as the oxidation of the bean is much faster once the bean is ground, regardless of storage.
