Great value for money

I usually pick this brand up in Sainsburys but when I spotted a bundle pack of six of these for six quid with Prime on here, I couldn't press 'one click' fast enough. These are exactly the same as the 180g bags sold in the Supermarkets, really long shelf life while unopened, (this order in November '17 is good until August 2019) these are simply cooked, peeled and packed. Nothing else added. Cooked soft, but still retaining their structure, these are sweet and nutty. Excellent for sprouts, stuffings, puddings and cakes. Each pack contains the equivalent of a mugful of cooked chestnuts - if you were going to make this amount from fresh chestnuts, you'd need to start off with about 2lb chestnuts, because by the time you've boiled them, shelled them, taken off the 'paper' and removed the inevitable discoloured or dodgy bits, this 180g is about what you'd end up with. I know, because in the years that the squirrels actually leave me enough sweet chestnuts for my own use from my trees, this is about what I get. It's easier to leave the squirrels to their thievery and buy these.

These whole cooked chestnuts are delicious and convenient! Soft, naturally sweet, and perfect for snacking. Really high quality. I love it!!!!!

Used to gather or buy chestnuts and roast them for their delicious taste. Was given a packet of these as a present and found their taste identical and wanted more.

These chestnuts removed the need for cooking and peeling and there's never a bad one as with fresh nuts.I eat them all year with salads as well as hot dinners.
