This is a quality knife. Ideal for home cooking. It has a nice weight and balance. The pricing is very good. you would normally expect to pay a lot more for a knife of this quality. The only negative is the angle of the edge. But that is purely professional bias, as most knifes are ground to the same angle. When buying a knife like this especially for home use. It is something that will last many years when looked after. I should say how I formed my opinion. I was a butcher for20 years and the worked in the fish industry for a further 7. I was in contact with the best chef's in the Southwest. Where I learnt many things and also taught them things they didn't know. So when you get someone for a professional background saying a product is good. That they purchased rather than given for free, to promote. You can gangrene that person is giving you an unbiased opinion of the product
