Klein hardhat accessories make great gifts
TLDR: I bought these Klein hardhat ear muffs for my electrician brother and he loves them. Solid, not gimmicky build, good hearing protection, comfortable and well balanced despite being a bit large/heavy, and the flip out “inspector” mode is genuinely useful. Full Review: My brother is a second generation electrician, and he constantly receives weird, gimmicky tools as gifts from well meaning friends and family who don’t really know what his workday is like. You know the ones, cheap multi-tool wire snipper/strippers and every strange, super niche gadget you can imagine. So when I buy gifts for him, I try to find things he’ll genuinely get excited about and actually use. I truly hope Klein never runs out of ideas for hard hat accessories, because I have bought (and will probably keep buying) every single one of them. It started with their wide brim Class E KARBN hard hat, then the wide beam headlamp. After that, I couldn’t pass up a couple of the 56062 mini LED headlamps, which then led to the portable cooling fans. And now: these ear muffs. I bought them with confidence because Klein is a brand we know, trust, and use every day. The quality is excellent, and there’s nothing gimmicky about them. And honestly, there’s no better feeling than seeing my brother genuinely excited about a gift, because he knows it’s something he’ll appreciate and use daily. I also have peace of mind knowing they protect his hearing. It’s been a while since I purchased them, and he’s told me several times that he loves them. They’re a little large and add some weight, but they sit centered and balanced and he doesn’t feel like they pull his head back or cause neck strain. He also likes the “inspector” feature, where he can pull one ear muff out and it locks into place so he can hear what the inspector is mumbling (his words, not mine).

Totally worth it!
These earmuffs are amazing! They are designed for Klein brand hard hats however I use an MSA brand at work and they fit it just fine. The ear muffs are really comfortable against the head and preform the intended purpose of blocking out noise. I work in construction and am constantly around different types of engines and heavy equipment and these do a fantastic job of blocking out the harsh noise. They fit over the ear well enough that you can utilize in ear protection as well and they will not be bothered by the over ears. The standby feature is really nice for in between functions such as you are about to start up loud equipment but need to have a conversation with your team first, they pop off the ears really easily and pop back on just as easy. I did notice that pushing on the metal part is the easiest way to get them to click back in from stand by mode but it is not an inconvenience at all. being able to store them up on the hard hat when not in use is really nice since I do not always need to have them on but don't want the hassle of taking them off the hard hat and they swing out of the way well! I do have to state the obvious that they do add a little extra weight to the head and it takes a little to get used to however I adapted quickly and by the end of the day I didn't even notice the extra weight anymore. Over all I was very impressed with the product and am very happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone that wears a hard hat and needs to wear hearing protection that is convenient and effective!

Good with one comment
Good, but cuffs come unsnapped pretty often. Give it 5 stars because I still really enjoy the product.

They do the job!
These earmuffs are like noise-canceling ninjas for your ears—26 decibels of sweet, blessed silence while I hammer, drill, and generally make a racket. The fit is snug but not too tight, and the soft foam cushions are surprisingly comfy for all-day wear. I barely notice them...except for the part where I’m not deafened by my own tools. The attachment mechanism for full-brim hard hats works seamlessly, which is a relief since I’ve wrestled with other "compatible" earmuffs in the past. The pivot positions are a nice touch, letting me flip them up when I need to hear someone yelling at me to stop slacking. My only complaint? They’re so good at blocking sound that I once missed my lunch call. So, proceed with caution—silence may be golden, but skipping meals is not. For $30, these are a no-brainer. If your workspace sounds like a jet engine, give your ears a break and grab these.

Fits MSA hard hat, with minor trimming
I unload pneumatic tankers into a silo, and the air compressor on a tractor/rig is over 90db (my Apple Watch warns me all the time). These bring the noise level wayyyyy down. We use MSA hard hats at my job, and these fit by just snipping off the thin side pieces with a pair of wire nippers. They work great and they were loads cheaper than the MSA ones made specifically for their hard hats.

Very cheap plastic clips that break frequently
Klein's helmets are great. Their safety glasses are great. Their hardhat accessories suck. Their mounting clips are cheap plastic crap that has broken repeatedly, finally the metal wire itself broke out after the plastic holding it in broke. I want to emphasise this is not ''oh, manufacturing flaw'' sort of stuff. They're poorly made and break easily after a few months. There's nothing wrong with the ones I have except who made them. Buy something else, this is a waste of money.

Good noise reduction, bad build quality
Solid in what there for, terrible build quality, had them 2 months and they broke on a gas leak.
