Great small utility knife i use it everyday to carry on my ive cut through various items and has not let me down, it does in fact use a smaller handle and blade but is incredibly sharp still and small enough to put in your pocket its not overall heavy but you can tell its real durable material for the price i even bought two of them incase i lose one because it wont break.

Every year I put together some base level Emergency Packs/Bug Out Bags that I give to friends and others. I have started this year's batch and needed some decent Folding Knives to put in them. I ordered an initial five (5) of these thinking that would at least be serviceable at the very worst. These have VERY pleasantly surprised me. They have a good weight and feel in the hand and are reasonably well-balanced. Each of them opened VERY cleanly and the locking mechanism secures the blade in the open position well. The blade shape is a standard drop-point which I prefer. FWIW, I am NOT a fan of Tanto blades or the addition of schmancy cutouts for sawing or whatever. If you are in need of some specialist capabilities then get a multi-tool and/or saws to do those tasks properly. I feel STRONGLY that a knife blade should have a simple and straightforward outline that allows it to do what a knife is intended to do: Stab and Slice. I took one outside to shave and whittle a newly cut 1/2" branch. The knife handled this with ease and then also sliced a piece of paper cleanly too afterwards. I will sharpen all of these blades for the simple reason that I am anally retentive this way and do it with all new knives regardless. But, that is me. You could probably get by using this knife AS IS and be confident that it will do the job. These are very good quality folding knives that are worth having and using.

Nice knife overall. It feels a bit large for a pocket knife. But if you use a knife frequently to cut stubborn stuff, this would be handy in the pocket. I was a bit creeped out by the spring-loaded open feature. I was looking for a handy tool to cut tape and cardboard, not a tactical stealth weapon to be pulled out one-handed. The knife opens just fine two-handed and has a nice blade lock easily released by thumb pressure.

Very solid knife. The spring assist was a nice addition, I didn't realize it had the feature, so was pleasantly surprised. It arrived with a very sharp blade! I touched it up just a little, and now it is even better. Hoping it will last a bit before needing it again. One of the reasons I picked this knife over others is the fact when it is clipped in the pocket, the point of the knife on the blade is pointed down. I had a knife a few years ago, that when clipped in the pocket, the point of the blade was up. It had not fully closed in the case, so when reaching to retrieve it, the point of the blade slightly poked the finger. Any knife I have purchased since I look to see that the knife clips in the pocket with the blade point down. A safety feature in my opinion. Also, I like the knife well enough, I also got the bigger brother to it.

Edit: I've had it a while and found a simple improvement: Get those little rubber grip tape stickers and put them on the handle in strategic spots, it will no longer be so slippery. Because frankly otherwise the texture of the metal handle is just.. Well, not much texture it's just smooth. This helps a lot. When I first opened it the action was stiff, but after opening and closing it a few times the completely overboard amount of oil it came with (which was also outside on the handle unfortunately) must have worked into the pivot as it's supposed to. As it turns out it's an assisted open, it springs right open once it's well lubricated. If it's partially closed like around 70 degrees it will be in a neutral position, and care must be taken of slow-rolling it with the thumbstud because the liner lock may not fully engage unless it's pressed all the way, when it does there's a definite loud click. Other thoughts: I wouldn't call a corner at the end of the handle a "glass breaker". There was a little dent on mine neat the pivot but I'm not too concerned. Grip is acceptable, jimping could have been better and it'll be better once the excess oil is cleaned off. It's sharp and jury is out on whether it's truly AUS10 with good heat treatment but all in all not a bad knife at all. Unfortunately the pocket clip is only one position, there is a place where they could have put holes in on the other side but nope, also it is not deep carry.

I really wanted a smallish blade to carry with me, so I bought two of these knives, but one of them was essentially broken on arrival. For the $5 it cost, I figured I'd have more fun disassembling it to find out what was wrong, rather than go through another soul sucking Amazon return. Turns out, the spring open assist was adjusted rather badly and would click behind the "blade stop", thus preventing the knife from fully opening. After a bit of fiddling I bent the stamped metal so it wouldn't bind things up, though it didn't exactly spring open like other one after I put everything back together again. At least it's usable now. In any event, I'm docking two stars for sending me broken merchandise, but if you get one that isn't broken, for $5 it's actually a fairly nice compact blade. The size was exactly what I was looking for. It's small enough not to take up all the room in my pocket, but big enough to actually be useful during those times when I could really use a pocket knife. I will say that out of the box, the blades were plenty sharp, though I really can't be sure how long they will keep their edge. So I like the product, but I wish their quality control hadn't been sleeping on the job.
