Transferred all the components (boards and battery) from the old phone to the new screen/housing. After only a week the screen started to be unresponsive in certain quadrants and now (5 careful tear-downs and careful rebuilds later) it is now completely unresponsive. Disappointing!

My boyfriend cracked the screen on his galaxy phone, and we couldn't afford a brand new phone. Plus he knows how to fix phones too. So this little kit was a lifesaver. He said it for perfectly for what needed. The pixels are amazing. The screen is made of extremely durable front glass. There were zero bubbles in the screen. It turned right on after replacement. It even comes with easy-to-follow instructions for those people who aren't 100% tech savvy. He said the tool set was amazing... And in fact he's used those same tools for other projects too afterwards. Great value for the money. Definitely worth it!!

Delivered in a nice package with useful tools. Followed an instructional video from Youtube, and the screen swap went very well. Powered up the phone and the screen worked right away (my original screen had cracked). Noticed a bit of lag from time to time and screen "inaccuracy" (had to touch a slightly differnt spot on the screen sometimes). About a month later, the screen froze and would not respond to touch, had to do a "soft reset" (volume down key plus the power/bixby key for more than 7 seconds) and that fixed the issue. This would occur about once a week (or more) until finally, after a software update it froze up for good. No amount of soft resets cleared it. Rebooted into "safe mode" and that didn't work (it put itself into airplane mode and wouldn't come out of that either) Odin mode could not fix it and even a factory wipe/reset did not work, so that proves it was not the software update that dorked up the phone. So now, my A53 is stuck on the setup screen after the factory wipe (which i did not need to do regardless of all the online advice from several forums over a few days...)Now I'm stuck between buying another replacement screen that will definitely fail again or just spring for another phone...

Screen worked for 5 days total. Turned into a green screen. The build quality was ok. Screen scratchs with your fingernail so poor quality over all. Internals looked correct but once the phone was started up the speaker made the screen backing vibrate and distort the sound. Pulled it back apart and added a bit of sound dampening to the back of the phone. It stopped the distortion.Had high hopes for this product but unfortunately the quality was just not there.

screen does not work

This screen works for the Galaxy A53 5G, and appears to be an actual OLED screen. Brightness and color OK, touch response is good.The surface of the screen doesn't feel as hard as the OEM screen, and it seems more prone to scratching. Definitely recommend a screen protector.
