⚡ Switch Faster, Work Smarter — Own the Ultimate Display Control
The UDP-12AP is the fastest DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch globally, featuring patented USB DDM and full-time EDID emulation for seamless, lag-free switching. It supports up to 4K resolution at 60-100Hz with standard cables and up to 4K at 144Hz with fiber optic or DP 2.1 cables. Compatible with G-Sync, FreeSync, and Adaptive Sync, it ensures smooth visuals. Its stackable design allows multi-monitor control from a single USB HID, and a built-in IR sensor enables remote switching.

Getting this to work is a matter of sheer luck
Short version:Save your money and your time and get a USB switcher and a display cable from your second computer into the 2nd port of the monitor. Much easier, much more reliable. Much less frustration.Long version:Sadly, after finagling around with this device for the better part of a week, including a very responsive contact with their customer support, sadly i have to come to the conclusion that this device isn't what it promised to be.The situation was like this:One main PC, Windows 10, 3 screens with the main screen going into the KVM.One Macbook Pro, latest MacOS, screen connector USB-C > DP going into the KVM.While this sounds straight forward enough, it isn't. The device needs to "learn" the EDID data from screen and computers to work properly (the data telling the screen and computers the resolution/refreshrate/etc).It did that with the Mac.It did not do that with the PC.I went through 3 different sets of VESA certified DisplayPort cables (first 1.4, then 2.1, which is another adventure all by itself given the amount of non-working items coming from AMZN nowadays). At the very least this should work if all cables are DP2.1 40GB. Sadly, this isn't the case.Getting the main screen to get a signal was a matter of chance the whole way. More often then not I get No Signal and that's it.The support will tell you to reset the KVM by removing the USB and power cables for at least a minute. This doesn't speed things up at all.The device's own reset function sometimes manages to initialize the screen and produce a connection - one that is very far from stable.Lastly, to control the device i was recommended by support to use the included serial cable. The year is 2024. Nobody should have to deal with A) serial cables and connections and B) terminal programs to issue manual commands to the device in this day and age. This is just ridiculous.None of the serial commands are of course well (or at all) documented, and they don't help with anything either. So yeah, don't bother with this. Maybe they will come up with a device that is usable in the 21st century at some point.

It works, but you need to tweak special hidden settings.
If your setup isn't working with this box,1) You need VESA-approved cables. All of them.2) You need to use the hotkey commands—or buy a $10 Serial-to-USB adapter and connect to the box over a serial connection—and change the "video EQ" numbers until your inputs work. Yes, it's poorly documented, and requires sitting there and trying different settings. But once it works, it works.Basically the process is this:- Connect your monitor to the KVM, and your FIRST INPUT to the KVM (DP and USB). LEAVE 2nd input disconnected for now. That's very important, as an improperly set up connection on one input can disturb the other.- Also necessary: connect a PC USB keyboard to the keyboard USB input on the KVM.- If no image, press hotkey, hotkey, E, Q, 6, 1, 1.- If still no image, you are going to repeat that command but change the first 1 to the next number, all the way up to 14. So hotkey, hotkey, You are going to try all possible combinations (6.1.1, 6.2.1, 6.3.1, and so on...6.14.1)- One of those will work. If not, use a different cable and repeat.- Once you have the first input working, connect the 2nd input and repeat the process, but this time keep the first number you found to be working, and change the second one (so if you have image on input 1 using 5, try (6.5.1, 6.5.2, and so on).- Usually the numbers will end up being the same (6.3.3, 6.4.4, mine ended up being 6.8.8 on an LG Ultrawide 5K)It's hysterical how this is entirely left out of the documentation that comes with the unit. I had to talk to tech support twice to get this info.

Didn't work out of the box.
I bought this to use with my new ASUS VG34VQL1B monitor which supports Display Port 1.4a. I followed the setup instructions as instructed including turning off any power saving or ECO modes on the systems and the monitor, yet I could not get either my Dell work laptop (4 months old) or my deskside Dell system (3 years old) with a NVIDIA GTX1630 graphics card to work. If I plugged either directly into the monitor they worked just fine (DP and HDMI) at 3440x1440. Through the ConnectPRO, nothing, just a black screen. I tried endless (new) cables, different configurations, power cycling the unit, resetting everything and starting over. Nothing worked, though it had no problem seamlessly switching the USB 3 ports without issue, just forget the video. This is the second unit I've tried, before I had a older UD-12AP (DVI) and it mostly worked, but it couldn't do the higher screen resolutions or support DP 1.4a. Imagine my disappointment waiting a week, brand new monitor supporting DP1.4a, and nothing worked out of the box. Given the price of this unit, I would expect MUCH better quality and compatibility testing. Incredibly my setup is now working on a $30 KVM from Amazon running at full resolution over HDMI.. sadly no DDM or hotkey, no 165Hz via DP 1.4a, the whole reason I went with the connectPRO in the first place. Sadness.

The only DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch supported full-time EDID emulation for my workflows
Tested many high-end KVM switches from Startech.com and L1T before, this KVM switch is the only one provide the DisplayPort 1.4 EDID emulation and EDID feeding to both systems/ laptops connected to it at the same time.It kept the EDID profile feeding to both connected systems of the KVM switch. My workflows on both connected systems no more would be interrupted by desktop windows app resized and relocated/ relisted randomly on the shared monitor.Recently I got two 5K1440P gaming monitors, one is LG 5K240 model and the other is Dell UltraShap 5K60 model. Both are supported by this advanced high-end KVM switch without issues. It even supports gaming monitors with DP 1.4 DSC, so you can put your future 8K60Hz monitor as the shared monitor of this KVM switch model.
