Sturdy and functional - hours of fun!
Was going to give this four starts because the first box was missing pieces. Luckily it was at the beginning of the build no more than 50 pieces in and was able to return with no issue so I'm giving it a five star. When the second order arrived, we found that the first box was missing a bag of at least 30+ pieces. My 9 year old built this without any issue. Lego bricks are easy to assemble. The crane is sturdy and he actually plays with it and uses the iPad as the remote. He's played with this more than the roller coaster set 10261 that he built 3 years ago, and that was a fun set to play with too. These large lego sets are pricey but he practices life skills when building this set, such as focus, patience and sense of achievement. Plus he's not watching you tube.

Another great set from Lego!
Excellent set, but very pricey. If you can afford it, it’s an entertaining build. FYI, The finished model takes up a lot of space to display and more to operate. Lego’s are always well designed and this is no exception !

Great build !
Excellent model. Lego & Technic make a great product. Well built, strong, motors have plenty of power. Great instructions, every piece and a few extras, all packaged nicely. Great working model to build, strongly recommend!

Bucket list LEGO
As a lifelong fan of LEGO, and the Technic theme, I really like what this set has to offer. There's a bit of logical thinking in putting this together, which I really like. The details and functionality are what I've come to expect with larger sets. A very satisfying build. Definitely a showpiece too. Just make sure to plan ahead of where to place it as it is quite sizable when complete. I've been wanting this since it was first announced, but I've been hesitant because of the cost. With a Prime Day deal, I finally gave in and got it.

Awesome Lego set
This is by far one of my favorite construction builds. Lego paid attention to detail and the functions on this crane work great. The new app control is way better than the rough terrain crane that you manually operate. The instructions were very detailed by you have to pay attention to the details or you will miss important steps.

missing pieces and no sense of urgency to get me missing pieces after spending so much money
The only reason it gets a 4 star and not a 5 is because I was missing pieces. It took around 2 months to get the missing pieces because the first time they sent me the wrong pieces but after I got what I was missing the set is great. Very sturdy like Lego has always been. If you’re looking for a great set that gets better the more you play with it this is your set. Highly recommended set especially with motor.

Fun build but challenging
This was a challenging build which was a lot of fun. It’s a large build, ensure you have a good working space set aside. Depending on your allotted time per build session, plan on multiple days of build. I spent a few hours over a couple rainy Saturdays to complete it. If you’re purchasing for a young kid or planning to work with yours, this one might be a tough one for them. I was surprised that for the cost of this crane, I consistently found to be missing a part (usually small) or two when getting to the end of the numbered bags. I kept having to go into the next set of bags to find a replacement, eventually having to make some alternate choices at the end to finish the build. I’ve heard from friends who also have this crane, they’ve also had to go get missing parts from Lego. Aside from that, I really enjoyed this crane. I am planning to modify the crane (starting with boom and jib). There are quite a few folks online working on alternate boom combinations and building these up to 9FT tall. Should be continued fun beyond the initial build with so many options to modify.
