Dr. Martens

At first I ordered a size 4 (my usual Dr Marten size) but the bridge was so tight on one of my feet I could hardly put that boot on and very snug on the other (I suspect that one foot of mine is slightly larger than the other by a quarter or half size) . I exchanged the boots for a size 5 and now they feel great. Really pleased with the robust quality. The leather is slightly softer than the 1460's but not to the point of being flimsy - still robust and as thick but just with a bit more give. I also bought a pair of 1460's at the same time in my usual size 4 and they fit perfectly so this is perhaps a good indicator of the sizing?? I have fairly wide feet but that isn't a problem with the 5's or was a problem with my one slightly smaller foot in the 4's. So I guess that if you have feet that are slightly larger than a size then go for the next size up due to the tight bridge!!

Perfect pair of boots

(Keep reading) I wanted a pair of dr martens for a while now but I was so happy witht them when they arrived! They came in the original 'dr marten' box all folded neatly in the tissue paper and really well presented, and included the original yellow laces! Also they fit perfectly eventhough I've got narrow feet but still got my usual shoe size. I didn't need to wear ultra thick socks when wearing them and they don't rub too much. At the same time I bought the 'Wonder Balsam' which you should buy as well as it will come in handing keeping the boots fresh and comfy. I'd definitely invest in getting a pair yourself.

These boots are of obvious quality. Very well made and smart. The finish is very distinguished and s is a 5star purchase. The only thing I can say is they are a little on th elarge side but nothing a thicker pair of socks didn’t cure. Buy them!

I am a real aficionada of DMs and so I do love these. However they are a bit tighter (especially across the bridge of the foot) and are taking more breaking in than I am used to. Well worth the effort though, as these will serve me through all kinds of situations for years to come.

Wow! My wife's first ever pair-wanted them from the age of 7 but denied by cruel parents. 32 years later and her wish was my command and they fit like a glove. Look awesome and cherry is fine.
