This is a great product for remotely monitoring temperature and humidity. It works exceptionally well, is a breeze to setup. The app supports multiple base stations as well so you can have multiple locations if necessary. For me, I have 2 base stations — one that I use to monitor my barn, farm office, and greenhouse, and the other that monitors my beehives — I place the sensors inside the hives. I do wish the thermo hygrometer sensors were a bit smaller, like Govees, but other than that have zero complaints. Battery life is very good. App performance is excellent and can easily view timeline trends per sensor by day, week, etc. A trend line report that would show all of a base stations connected sensors would be nice but there isn’t one currently. I have not tried any of X-Senses other sensors or safety / smoke detectors but if I had a need wouldn’t hesitate to add them to my systems.

I bought 2, one for inside and one outside. Connecting them is super easy. They track temperature and humidity and show data in graphs I really like. Also, I can put alarms so to take action when needed and have peace of mind when I’m not home. I have several different sensors (fire, smoke, water) of this brand and all works with no problems, so I’m a repeated customer.

I have multiple sensors synced to one base station and use them from monitoring freezers to reptile enclosures for both temperature and humidity. They are accurate and do well even in high humidity and temp to subzero temperatures. It is very convenient to monitor on my phone remotely and set alerts for high/low temps and humidity. Would recommend as an affordable option.

This temperature sensor solved a problem for me that I've been struggling with for a very long time. I have a tuck-under garage, which has a bathroom on top of it. That means it has plumbing that runs through the garage. I also live in Minnesota, where the temperatures can drop to extremely low levels. Although I have heat vents in my garage, they are not fully open since the garage does not need to be heated to the same temperature as the rest of the house. This was kind of a pain to deal with, and twice since 2007, I've had to deal with burst pipes because of it. Well, now that I have this temperature sensor, I think those burst pipes will be a thing of the past. I can set a low temperature warning, and be notified if my garage goes below that temperature and heat my garage before the pipes burst. I also have several X-Sense water leak sensors in my basement, and this temperature sensor is compatible with the same base that the water leak sensors use. I found the app very easy to use, and the instructions for setting up the sensors to be very easy to understand. When the heat sensor detects a lower temperature than you've set in the app, it plays an "alarm" sound (it plays a tune, and not like an ear-piercing tone) on the base and sends you an alert on your phone. If I have any complaint, it's that the alarm doesn't seem to repeat. It only happens once, so you might miss the sound and not see the alert for some time. I'm not sure if there's any way in the app to change this, but it might be a feature they could add in the future.

I have use this in several locations along with water sensors. Easy set up for a base station and then add water or temperature monitors. Each monitor gives you battery life and they are easily changed without small screws used in some devices. Gives good temps and history of temps as well as humidity. Have purchased several times without problems. Good value and can purchase individual types of monitors to match up with a base station. Quickly power back up and reconnect without problem if power goes off. Temperature monitor small enough I hang them off a door hinge and are barely noticeable in a room.

Product works as advertised. Installation is easy and fast. Would recommend and buy again

I purchased this item to go with the required base station, which came with two sensors. The app is good, but the sensors are a complete waste of money. The are highly inaccurate. All five sensors are unable to provide accurate readings out of the box. I tested each one with an Inkbird (non wi-fi) sensor as well as other sensors and my home thermostat. All the sensors were measure room temperature within .5 degrees. The X-Sense were way off. I decide to calibrate the XSense to bring it within range, but they are off still. My digital meat thermometer is able to measure the room temperature better than these things (no joke). I also tested the sensor in a frig and freezer. The sense is able to transmit the signal to the base station, but the reading is again way off ( 5 degrees or more). I contacted support but they basically provided a Response that indicates these things useless. They do not work in an open room (family room), frig, freezer, basement, humidor, kitchen or home office. Not sure where these things were intended to operate. Don’t waste your money. Even in the same environment, differences in sensor materials, casing design, and response times can cause slight variations in temperature readings, especially when comparing devices from different brands. According to the user manual, the STH51 has a maximum accuracy of ±0.72°F (within the 32–140°F range). You can fine-tune the readings by calibrating the sensors. To do so, please tap the gear icon next to the STH51 in the app, go to Device Settings, and adjust the values under Calibration. Additionally, please note that our sensors are not designed for use inside refrigerators or freezers. Such environments may exceed the STH51's operating temperature range, leading to significant discrepancies in readings or even potential damage to the device.
