Ties in back.
I purchased them to keep oil from splattering on my shirts. They work great for that, but it ties in the back the straps are not long enough to wrap around front.

Good quality aprons.
The apron is well knit and has a good look. The neck strap being adjustable is one of the features that is quite appealing since it makes it easier to adjust it according to your height and not having to worry about it coming undone or need someone's help to tie it. The straps around the waist are also quite long however I do need to wrap them around and tie it in front to avoid them hanging on my back. It is water proof which makes it easier to wash and use for longer periods of time. The only downside that I noticed is if you are a perfectionist like me, you might need to iron it out of the box and also every time you wash it since it is quite prone to wrinkling.

Cheap, but whatever
Not a fan that everything on Amazon anymore are these import brands all selling the same lowest quality good with nonsense brand names. These aprons don't even have any tags on them to verify that they are in fact cotton, their country of manufacture, or care instructions. Not that any of this is crucial, it's just a piece of fabric that you can throw over your neck and later in the washer. It feels cheap and stiff, but if it's actually polyester, oh well, I'll try not to be set on fire while wearing it. I would have liked to find a reasonably priced option from a reputable brand that I could trust to at least use actual cotton, but my only other options are suspiciously cheap, 20 for $12 slave-made rags, or ludicrously expensive trendy $100 status symbol aprons. I just need something for working in a commercial kitchen that requires an apron, and this seemed good enough, maybe. Can't say I'm impressed.

Basic, but not in a bad way
I'm very pleased with these aprons. You could wear them to work as a server, but my primary use for them is at home in the kitchen, and they do a good job of keeping my clothing dry and clean. Much to my delight, the fabric is water-resistant. To demonstrate this in one of the photos, I poured a few tablespoons of water onto my lap while seated and it did not seep through. The fabric is like a poly-cotton twill. I haven't washed them yet, but I don't think ironing will be needed. The pockets are big enough for anything you would likely need while wearing an apron and more. There are two front pockets that hit me at around the hip, but with an easy adjustment of the 24" (61 cm) neck strap the apron can be shorter or longer. As I have it in the pix, the hem hits me right above the knee. For reference, I'm 5'8", 115 lbs., 13" (33 cm) neck, 34 B-C bust, 28" (71 cm) waist, 35" (89 cm) hips. I can tie the strings in the front but don't need to, which is to say these aprons should fit the average to somewhat chunky adult or teenager.

Keeps you cool
I got these aprons for doing everything in the kitchen, from cooking to cleaning. I really like the weight of the fabric as it keeps you from getting too hot when cooking, yet it's the heavy enough to keep you clean. It works well when doing dishes to keep you dry. It washes easily. I dried mine on low heat to prevent shrinkage. It washed well and I didn't see any indication of shrinkage. The tie can be tied in the front for some people, it's long enough to tie in the back with some room to spare, for larger people. The pockets are also a big help while cooking. They protect my cellphone when I use it to look up recipes, yet I don't want my phone on the counter getting flour or grease on it. I have used it as both a full apron and folded it to cover just my waist. It works great both ways without feeling too heavy or hot. These aprons have performed very well and I would recommend for cooking, grilling or washing dishes.
