Great item. Great value. Works great.
I purchased this model as a replacement for an older Waykar that has been keeping my basement dry for several years. The new model took my basement from 71% RH to 52% RH overnight. I also have an independent humidity monitor which tells me that the unit is calibrated well and precise. This model is quieter and smaller than the previous one which is an added bonus. It comes with a drain hose so it is ready to go right out of the box. The set up was super easy and the control panel is very user friendly. I would recommend this model to anyone that needs a quiet machine to keep their finished basement at a comfortable humidity level.

Efficient and easy to use
Relatively quiet and does job superbly. I am in Michigan and normally begin running my dehumidifier when I turn AC on. This year was different. High temps with high humidity way earlier than usual for MI and it hasn’t abated yet. I am getting an easy 3 gallons/day running on Auto at 45% humidity setting. I use the collected water for plants and laundry. It is just me at home, so it’s difficult for me to use all the water instead of just wasting it. I bought the one with the pump as it was on sale and as inexpensive as the one without. If I ever require that option, I now have it. But I was not going to pay the extra $ just to have the pump; don’t need it. So, were it not for the sale, I would have purchased just the humidifier sans pump. I like that I can control the humidity level by 5% increments. The machine is on wheels and basement is tiled, so that is quite nice, though I usually don’t move it once in place. It will make bringing it into service again and storage when no longer required an easier task, though. Only downside for me is the collection bin. It will be a matter of time before Something breaks. The handle popped out of one side while dumping it. I was using the handle while supporting the base and, enough of a small twist, to pop that handle almist immediately. It is a heavy amount of water when full, so it did not take much. Fortunately, the handle has an easy lock system and placed back in with no difficulty. But it did alert me to a potential weak spot. I’ll keep my fingers crossed and pay better attention while dumping from now on, but it is the easily breakable type plastic, and pretty thin in spots, so we’ll see. No real “spout” or corner to make dumping more easy. It is baffled and in the bottom are 2 channels through the baffling. Helps when removing receptacle, but I did not see any advantage for them for dumping purposes. I suppose if I did not collect the water this would not be an issue. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. My old one was about 33 years old and, were it not for my neglect on cleaning, would still be going. If this new one lasts half as long, it is still a fantastic purchase in my mind.

Outstanding customer service and competitive price point makes it a compelling option
Waykar 150 Pints Energy Star Dehumidifier with Pump Review I recently purchased the Waykar 150 Pints Energy Star Dehumidifier with Pump to replace a 155-pint commercial Waykar crawl space unit from 2021, whose compressor failed. After nearly two weeks of use, I am highly satisfied with this unit’s performance in my 2700 sq ft unfinished basement, where it maintains a steady 50% humidity at 60-65°F during summer conditions. Below is a detailed review of my experience. Pros: Very Quiet Operation: The unit operates with minimal noise, making it suitable for continuous use without disturbing the household. Convenient Mobility: Equipped with wheels and a sturdy handle, this dehumidifier is far more convenient to move than the commercial crawl space unit it replaced. Familiar Size and Design: It is only slightly larger than my existing Waykar 120-pint model, with a familiar design that made setup and operation straightforward. Competitive Price Point: Despite not being Waykar’s latest model, it offers excellent value for the performance and features provided, though long-term energy costs may offset the initial savings depending on usage and duration (see below). Mechanical Swing Flap: Unlike the newer model, this unit includes a mechanical swing flap that effectively distributes airflow, enhancing dehumidification efficiency. See video for operation Outstanding Customer Service: This is my third Waykar unit, and their exceptional customer service continues to instill confidence in the brand. Cons: Lower Efficiency Compared to Newer Model: The unit has an Integrated Energy Factor (IEF) of 1.8 L/kWh compared to 2.01 L/kWh for the newer model, representing an 11.67% efficiency improvement for the newer unit. This translates to approximately 1.65 kWh/day in energy savings, or about $95/year at $0.16/kWh for continuous operation, which may offset the lower initial cost depending on usage duration and frequency. Hose Connection Design: The hose connection feels less secure than the one on my 120-pint unit, which I found more robust and reliable. See pictures for details Additional Notes This dehumidifier is rated at 150 pints under conditions of 95°F and 90% relative humidity (RH), which differs from the AHAM standard of 80°F and 60% RH. When adjusted for AHAM standards, its capacity is approximately 80 pints, so buyers should compare it appropriately with other units. I have not utilized the pump feature, so this review does not cover its functionality. For reference, I’ve included photos showing the size comparison with my 120-pint unit and the design differences in the hose outlets. Overall, the Waykar 150 Pints Dehumidifier is a reliable and efficient choice for large spaces like my basement. Its quiet operation, mobility, and solid performance make it a worthy successor to my previous unit, despite minor drawbacks in efficiency and hose design. The efficiency difference may impact long-term costs for heavy users, but Waykar’s stellar customer service and the unit’s competitive price point make it a compelling option.

Great design and pump feature, excellent support from Waykar
I purchased this unit in March 2025 and it worked really well from the start. My favorite feature is the built-in pump—when it’s running, no water collects in the basin, which completely avoids the mold and unpleasant buildup I’ve experienced with other dehumidifiers. This makes maintenance so much easier and keeps things cleaner. Unfortunately, in September the unit stopped functioning properly. While this was disappointing, Waykar’s customer service has been excellent. They responded quickly and arranged to ship me a replacement unit without hassle. Overall, I’m impressed with the design and especially the pump system. I would have given 5 stars if the original unit hadn’t failed so soon, but the responsive support makes me feel confident in continuing to use Waykar products.

Quality at this price level!
I’ve had several at this size/performance level. This one is good and seems to read humidity accurately, and even when it’s not running. Seems to be a quality product. Runs well. Easy controls.

Although it came with a broken wheel (I purchased a used Amazon warehouse one to save a few), it works perfectly and the Waycar customer service was happy to provide me with a replacement easily. They replied quickly and their website was easy to navigate and make an inquiry. *In the photo I added googly eyes because I thought it would look cute* The product it’s self really works, I had it placed next to hanging laundry in a cold temperature room, and it was able to remove the moisture from the clothes within a few hours! That’s something I never expected such a slick and small humidifier to do. I really hope you guys get it too so you can appreciate the quality and sleek look of this product. I will be purchasing again and recommending to everyone.

Merci!
