Ok, so here's the deal with the reviews saying this comb is difficult to open. I originally purchased a single comb, and thought everyone else must be crazy, because mine opened easily and smoothly from the moment it came out of the wrapper. However, I recently ordered the two-pack, since I liked the original so much, and sure enough, despite being separately packaged, both combs came out of the wrapper and were extremely difficult to unfold. It appears the sheath portion on both are a bit more compressed, and thus clamps onto the comb more firmly. I have no clue why the single comb order works perfectly, but the two-pack combs are all jammed-up, but there you have it. If you're planning on ordering these—and you definitely should, they're excellent combs—order the single pack to avoid the aforementioned issue. I'm planning on running the problem sheaths under hot water and expanding them with something to widen them out a little bit, and if I have any success with that, I'll update the review.

Keep this thing in the car for my beard, works like a charm and the teeth dont break when they hit snags like cheap combs do. Fits in suit pockets or any pocket for that matter too so good for a quick once over when you need it.

I love this Companies Combs. I had purchased a 4 inch pocket comb that eventually broke from living in my jeans back pocket. This is nice and sturdy and I keep it in my front pocket instead since it folds into the cover. It was a bit stiff to open on arrival, so I slid a piece of a pick in the cover to widen it and left it in a sunny window for a couple of days. Now it opens and closes easily. These glide through your hair so smoothly compared to combs from the drug store.

It’s a good comb but the thing that I really don’t is that it’s supposed to stay open when you’re using it but it does not. The hinge is very flimsy or lose that just by having it closed with your hands and holding one side will automatically open the comb. I wanted something that would stay open while I’m using it so I can use the other piece as a regular large comb. Not something that I have to hold on while doing my hair.

It’s a high quality comb and it whips out like a switchblade. The handle protects the comb and keeps it clean. I highly recommend this comb for all men.

I’ve been using these since God knows when. Convenient and attractive design. Honestly, I usually manage to break them after a year or so, but I like them so much that I am a loyal customer. Expecting another one to arrive today.

It's such a nice comb for beards. Effortlessly glides through hair, the pointed tips aren't sharp, there is zero wobble on the joint for the closing mechanism ( I was worried because of reviews stating it was loose but mine is even a tad too tight, which I don't mind tbh). It'd a great little comb. Ill probably buy another one.
