I ordered this for making some homemade beauty products, and mostly using for developing what I feel is my perfect lotion. On the bottle it states for research and development purposes, and I did laugh, because that is basically what I plan on using it for. After that, it is just for my own personal use whatever I make that uses this. I have not got to dive in yet to creating, but I do feel confident that this will be exactly what I needed and will work perfectly. If that turns out to be false, I will be back to update my review. No update will mean it worked great. The only reason I removed a star from this, is after it sat on my counter for a few days, I did notice one was leaking. I had not opened them yet, but I realized it was leaking from the cap, and when I did open it, the protective seal seemed like it had been soaked with the stuff, but, it also seemed sealed still. Confused, I opened the other, and realized after a minute, that pressure must have made the seal pop, as I was able to get the seal to pop on the other one by squeezing. Unfortunately, I do not know if this was caused before it arrived, or if my kitchen is too warm and caused it to warm and pressure made it pop. Not knowing when the seal broke made me not want to use the one that sprung the leak, so I am down to only one bottle of this. They were not leaking upon arrival, the seals were dry, everything looked great, so I do believe this is my own user error, and not so great choice of temporary storage. Having said that, I just do not know for a fact it was my error, so I'd rather err on the side of caution, rather than take a chance. Regardless, I am still happy with this order at the moment. I have never made my own lotion before, but it seems like propylene glycol is a popular choice for that, so fingers crossed I succeed.

This product is the best for stretching fragrances if you making perfume, cologne and candles or mist. I will be ordering another pair of bottles.

The plastic bottle and cap that holds the PG is durable as I accidentally dropped it and it didn't break or crack. I like that the cap is the kind that you can leave threaded on but push down (similar to a shampoo bottle) and get the correct amount out. This does work pretty well to keep my skin hydrated when I use it for my skin care regiment.
