The Tea bags are plastic, and strings attached with what looks like a polymer glue. In this world of micro and nano-plastic pollution every possible way to avoid putting plastics into our body needs to be top priority with our food and medicine. To fix this problem I cut the bags open and steep in a strainer. Next time, I will just buy the roots in bulk and blend my own. less waste.
