The media could not be loaded. I have been lucky enough to own several torches from Blukar. I am therefore already aware of their quality, workmanship and reliability.I also like the fact that Blukar tend to do lovely colours on the outer casing of their torches, and this one is another example. The olive green colour is lovely, and much better than the more traditional black (IMHO !)The torch is made from aluminium, and is powered via a 1800 mAh rechargeable battery. A USB-C charging cable is included, along with a wrist strap. It has high/medium and low light levels, and also a strobe and SOS effect. It is also zoomable, and IPX6 waterproof. A full charge takes approx 4 hours.OPINIONThis is another excellent torch in the Blukar range. At 1800 mAh, it does have a slightly lower mAh than some others in the range, but it still provides a super-bright light which lasts between 4.5 and 17 hours. The torch feels comfortable in the hand – a decent weight, but not too heavy. The zoom action is very smooth. I also like the fact that there are bright LED’s indicating the charge level, which is really useful.I always keep a Blukar torch in the house. It’s ideal for keeping an eye on my dog when he goes into the back garden at night. My partner has one to take on his fishing trips – (the 5000 mAh version), we have one at our caravan in case of power cuts, and one in our car, as one never knows when a torch might be needed (it can also be charged via the 12V socket from the car battery if you have a USB adapter).As green is my favourite colour, this one will be staying with me for walking the dog. It is perfect for lighting up the area when one has to do those little doggie duties, plus it is blindingy bright if one ever needs to fend off a would-be assailant !Unfortunately the box on mine was crushed, but this would only matter if giving this torch as a gift. The contents were undamaged.Blukar is now my “go to” brand, as I know they are a manufacturer I can trust in terms of quality and value, and to date none of their torches has ever let me down (unlike other brands I have had).

This is a brilliant little torch that has a powerful beam. It the perfect size for popping into a drawer, toolbox, your pocket or your bag. The measurements are 14cm long by 3cm at it's widest. For me, this is for dog walks in the dark. It's neat and compact and lightweight and ideal for taking with me on walks at night.It's satisfying and tactile to hold in your hand. It feels right. It's not the first thing you think of with a torch but I love the dark moss green colour. It makes it look like it was meant for doing things outdoors. There's an attached strap which could be used to hang it or placed around your wrist so you don't have to put it down if you need to use your hand for other things, which is necessary when you have a dog loose outside.It came with a USB C charger and didn't take long to reach full power from out of the box. I can charge it from my laptop, my USB port in my car. It's the same as my phone charger so versatile in that respect.Being small it doesn't cover a huge area with the beam, but the light it produces is powerful. It allows me to see my footing and find my dog in the dark. The beam is easily changed by sliding the end of the torch until you have the breadth of light you want, down to a very strong focussed spot of light. It's so very well made. The action using the zoom is seamless and smooth. There are various settings, from bright light to dim, dimmer, strobe and SoS. This is achieved by pressing the on/off button through the sequence. If I had just one issue with the torch, it's that the button on the side can take a second or two to find with your thumb in the dark as it feels the same as the cover for the charger port on the opposite side. This is a minor thing however.I think if you need a torch that gives a bright area of focus, such as when fixing something fiddly such as wiring etc, this is going to be indispensable. It's a really well engineered piece of kit and versatile too. I am happy to have it in my coat pocket at night.
