Excellent product.

We make occasional videos for our YouTube channel and bought a moderately priced teleprompter. Until we found this remote with software included, we were paying for an annual subscription for software that we only used 3-4 times a year. Furthermore, the subscription products required you to use a smart phone as a remote. Since there are no raised up/down buttons on a remote we had to look away from the camera briefly to see where we were pressing to operate the remote. This software has the same features as the subscription versions at a fraction of the price. Go for it!

This is a great little remote, much better than what I was using before. Extremely responsive with the app (would agree with other reviews that said the remote is better than the app). I had some trouble figuring out how to page up and down with the remote, which was frustrating since that was the reason I got it to begin with. Turns out you can only page up and down when the scroll is paused. Not an issue when using it, just troublesome to figure out at the start. Overall would highly recommend this product.

It can be a little finicky to get this remote connected to the app, but once it is, it works fine. It's very much like a presentation remote for PowerPoints, but it works specifically with the Neewer teleprompter app, and it allows for increasing and decreasing font size and scroll speed. My only concern is that it didn't come with batteries, but that's not a huge deal and definitely not a dealbreaker. It and the software work much better than the remote that came with the teleprompter with which I use it, and that's a huge relief.

I bought 2 others for less money but there were problems with Bluetooth or teleprompter software. THIS controller and software works well without issue!

I bought this because they claim "Noise Free Recording". The problem is that every button click will show up on your recordings. It'd be fine for a live presentation, but it fails in the studio.

This remote is very handy for simple operation of the free Neewer teleprompter app which is available in the Apple store and Google Play store. Your first step should be to install the app on a tablet or phone device with a decent sized screen from which you will read the teleprompter script. Scripts can be written and edited in the app, or you can upload text files into the app via wi-fi. Make sure to have your Bluetooth on for pairing. Next, put two AAA batteries in the remote and turn it on. The remote will detect the app on your device and pairing is easy. The remote is very simple to operate. The "play" button starts the scrolling of the script and another push will pause the scrolling. The A+/- buttons will adjust the font size shown on screen. And the Up/Down arrows are for adjusting the speed of the scrolling. I expected UP to increase speed and DOWN to decrease it, but it actually is the opposite. This takes a bit of getting used to, but at least there is an indicator at the bottom of the app window that shows your current rate of speed. When speed is going up when you expected it to go down, you'll remember that this app has reversed the logic on the usually expected ergonomics. It's annoying, but you'll live. Other than that, it's a very handy teleprompter remote and app combination from Neewer that is very useful and easy to operate.

Yo levanto contenido por lo menos 3 o 4 veces por semana con doctores, maestros y marcas personales, así que compré un teleprompter Neewer, pero no incluía control, así que decidí pedirlo y fue la mejor decisión que tome. Me ahorra demasiado tiempo, ya no puedo vivir sin el!
