I got this discounted and so far I'm happy with the Tapo L535B. Overall it's a solid smart bulb with great features for everyday use. Being able to control it from the mobile app and devices like Alexa is a game changer. No need for physical timer plugs anymore! The app was very easy to set up, connecting to Wi-Fi in minutes with clear guided steps. Everyday controls like dimming are intuitive. The colour options are fantastic, offering millions of vibrant hues and colour temperatures for any mood. Party mode is useful for quick effects, though more pattern and speed options would improve it. I would have preferred a brighter bulb over 1500 lumens (100W equivalent), but Tapo doesn't offer one yet. This means it may struggle with larger rooms but ideal for smaller rooms or alongside multiple bulbs.

This Tapo bulb impressed me from the start. Setup was effortless through the Tapo app and paired instantly with Alexa. The brightness is excellent more than enough to light a medium-sized room and colours are vibrant without looking artificial. Definately worth getting into the tapo ecosystem over phillips with the other items available I’ve set it on a timer to come on gradually in the mornings, and it works every time without delay. The energy monitoring feature is a nice bonus too. The integration with Matter means it’ll work across platforms if I ever switch ecosystems. For the price, it’s outstanding value and performs just as well as Philips Hue bulbs I’ve owned previously.

I recently changed my wifi and all of a sudden, getting my smart bulbs to work had become very very complicated! My existing bulbs needed a 2.4ghz wifi connection which they could no longer find. Having spent the best part of 2 hours trying to connect 1 bulb & my only success was taking out the wifi for the rest of the house, I gave up & decided to buy this bulb. I have bought 1 initially as I wanted to make sure it would work before I replace them all. The bulb arrived next day. When I finally felt ready to face this again, I downloaded the app, plugged the bulb in & followed the app instructions. It was really simple to set up & link with Alexa, took less than 5 minutes. Good product at a good price, will be looking to replace all our smart bulbs with these tapo ones.

The Tapo L530B Smart Bulb is a fantastic addition to my home. Setup was quick through the app, and it connected easily to Alexa without any issues. Being able to control it with voice commands or remotely from my phone is incredibly convenient. The multicolor feature is great—you can switch between warm white for relaxing evenings and brighter tones for working, or choose fun colors to change the mood. It’s bright enough for everyday use, and the dimmable function works smoothly. The scheduling, timer, and away mode features add extra convenience and security. Plus, it’s energy efficient while still providing strong light output. Overall, a reliable and affordable smart bulb that works exactly as expected.

Fantastic bulb, easy to set up and not issues. I like the different colour options and the brightness. After a recent change of internet providers i was unable to get the bulb to reconnect. I contacted Tapo via the get support function within Amazon and got a call back almost immediately. Roezelle talked me thru the app and helped to identify the issue and stayed on the phone whilst we got the buld reconnected.

Excellent bulbs, Easy to use, downloaded the app and can turn them on/off, changer colour, dim and set timers for when on holiday. Just what we needed and good value for money

This bulb is good but!! The first thing i will say is that you need these, they just work like it’s suppose the only downside to it is that it’s not bright enough, the colours are really nice and pairing it with the app takes no effort at all, maximum 5 or even less and you are good to go but the brightness is the only thing that’s holding it back. The image attached is in the bathroom and the previous bulb lit up the room really well but when i replaced it with the tapo bulb you noticed how less powerful it was, but that’s the only fault i give it. Pairing is easy and if you want to pair this with a sensor you can. If you don’t want something that’s not too bright consider this but if you want something that’s will lit up the room and make it really bright then this is not for you.
