I had a trimmer that I was always having to charge after maybe 2 or 3 uses. And I never knew how much battery life was left on it so it was always a question of whether I would complete trimming my beard or get stuck with an incomplete trimming. I bought this initially just because it showed a battery indicator, but it's proven to be a great solution overall. The trimmer is solid, but not heavy. It came with several head and trimmer guide options. The charging to get it to full was quick. And even after using it 4 times the battery life still shows 88%. Because this has a longer battery life, I can trim my beard daily so it isn't a big deal to keep clippings from clogging the bathroom sink drain. A real bonus plus! I highly recommend this product!

I decided to buy this particular trimmer based on positive reviews, reasonable price, and features I thought I would need. I've only used it briefly so far, but I am very impressed with it. The build quality is excellent, better than I expected. It operates quietly and trims sharply. It feels very nice in my hand, has a nice covering that gives a good grip. Charging is quick and the charge numerical display is a nice touch. This is a well designed, well constructed trimmer and is a nice change from the corded pet-grooming clippers that I've been using. ;-)

It’s good and cuts well but the foil shaver isn’t durable. It’s a good size and overall functions well with decent battery life and it’s a good value for money. I recommend but there are better options.

So after 6 or 7 years, my trusty Remington beard trimmer stopped holding a charge, and the quest for a replacement began. My criteria: I need to trim my mustache and beard at different lengths with guards, a detail trimmer for evening out the mustache and clipping the lip overhangers, and it needs an attachment for nose and ear hair trimming. It also needs to work well for the occasional body hair trim. This has....none of that. I think between the colors reminding me of my Remington (gold and black) and the preponderance of [apparent?] positive bot reviews of Chinese products that seem so prevalent on Amazon, I got taken in by this one. And to be fair, it works well - for what it's intended to do, which is CUT HAIR. ON YOUR HEAD. Amazon, would it be possible to filter out reviews and ratings on products that are not a verified purchase? Anyway - one clipper head is narrower and is intended as the beard trimmer. That would be fine, except...the beard-specific guard for it only cuts 3 lengths - 1.5, 2.5, and 3.5 mm. I trim my mustache at 6 mm and my beard at 8 mm. No bueno. OK, it has a bunch of detachable combs, I'll use that. Ahh - a 6 mm comb and a 9 mm comb, that oughta work...wait, the comb is much wider than the clipper head. OK, switch to the wider clipper head (in retrospect, the one intended for hair on your head) and use the combs. Ack, nose in the way, can't seem to get a good angle to raise the hairs enough...beard? Meh - the comb needs to be finer to adequately lift the hairs....finish with a half-done look to my beard/ mustache. On to the detail trimmer head to edge and even out my mustache...gah it's so narrow. It takes multiple passes, combing down, and way more effort than my Remington to edge my mustache. To its credit, it did not cut or pull my skin, but a wider, fanned trimmer head with set-back moving blades to protect skin is a MUCH better design. Wouldn't you know it, though? This works well for trimming off ear hair and around where the hair meets the ear... like a hair-on-your-head detail trimmer. (ah, the THEME) To boot, this is also when I realize that there is no attachment to trim nose hair - the angle of the detail head makes it impossible. AGAIN - it's meant for trimming the hair on your HEAD. So, I gotta give it 3 stars. The display and the charging base are nice and work well, (no wall AC plug adapter is included - fish out one of your old iPhone charging blocks from before you switched to wireless charging) and, while I'll never use it as such I can tell it will work great for trimming hair at home. But I can't rate it higher because the description includes body hair and beard as functions, which it does not do well. TL; dr: if you're looking to replace a well-used beard trimmer, just but the newer replacement of what you had and liked. This product is for HAIR ON YOUR HEAD, not your beard/ mustache.
