Leather Writing Journal Notebook, Vintage Nautical Spiral Daily Notepad Classic Embossed Travel Journal to Write in with Unlined Paper (Brown)

I'll be honest: I wasn't expecting much. But the price was right, so I ordered 2 for my grandsons for Christmas. Paired with Rustic Twig Pencils, I think they will make a great, fun-to-open small gift. I like the rugged look, compass on front and unlined kraft brown colored paper. Perfect for treasure maps, journaling, sketching or whatever they choose. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and overall impressed. I did air them out a few days based on some other reviews and a slight chemical smell when I opened the box. Seems like a winner to me.

This journal is excellent quality, especially for the price! It has the flap to keep your place while the journal is closed and wrapped, and a great quality wrap with the charm attached. The rings on the inside open and close perfectly, and look like they could still hold a few more pages, as well as having a very common size of page making it easier to add more, or replace if need be. It looks and feels great, and I know it'll hold up well for me to document important events and milestones of myself and my children through the years. A great keepsake for them when they're older. I'll definitely be purchasing one of each color!

It is a neat little journal. That being said the colour of the journal does not match the picture at all. The picture has a nice purplish cover but instead it came as a drab grey colour. disappointing but not deal breaking. The symbol is much larger now than it used to be and the cover is better quality. Its just the wrong colour. After leaving review I was immediately contacted by the seller who gave me instructions on how to get a refund. A+++ customer service. Thank you: Eberhart

When this item arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It is also refillable which I had not noticed when purchasing it. I was doing a memorial for my husband and wanted each person to write something in a book I could keep and this was perfect. The paper is excellent. Because it is refillable I am able to send blank pages back to Canada to the friend who were unable to attend. I would highly recommend this item.

While the materials themselves may not be top notch, they feel very nice and hold up throughout use. I've had this notebook since March 2nd, 2023 (Time of review April 27th, 2023) and have used it frequently (2-4 times a week) for taking notes and it still looks and feels like when I first bought it. Granted, I have a work desk that I keep it at. So, I haven't put it through any type of abuse. (Camping, hiking, outdoor activities, etc) I like that the leather straps are tied, not melted or sown. This allows you to customize them to some degree. The anchor medallion is also easy to replace should you wish to change it. Or you can remove it entirely and use the leather straps as bookmarks to save your place as you write. The six slot mini binder works well with other papers/pages of the same size. This allows you a lot of customization and variation as well. Overall, I really enjoy this notebook and it's holding up great with the normal use I'm putting it though. I recommend it.

Pros: 1. it looks great. 2. it's got a durable cover and closure. 3. it's small enough to take with you wherever you want/need to go. 4. it's got a ring binder inside, so getting paper in and out is a cinch! 5. cost is great. Cons: 1. it's a little smaller than I had hoped because the paper inside is smaller than the cover of course, but notably so. 2. the binder rings and small size of the paper make it hard to write on the pages while they are in the book. My solution has been to take the page out write on it, and put it back in. Might be a little inconvenient for some, but for me, and for the price, I have no complaints.

The notebook itself is okay and I think it will improve and become less stiff with use; the cover is very stiff. The paper is pretty low quality and is creased in places. I intend to replace it immediately, which is disappointing.
