The individual packets are great, but Gatarade is too sugary and not what I want to replenish me while I run. I bought this to use as part of my marathon training because it will be served on course.

This tastes like the regular lemon lime Gatorade that I have a hard time finding in the stores. However it does not dissolve well in cold water. If you try it, you end up with clumps of white powder in the bottom of your water bottle until the temperature of your water warms up enough for the rest of the powder to dissolve. If you want it cold, I would dissolve it in room temperature water, then put it in the refrigerator until it's cold, then you can drink it cold. Also these packets are huge! Don't expect to be able to dissolve a whole packet into a full 24 oz bottle of water, it will overflow. More like 22 oz of water to a packet. Also, my order came in one of those small display boxes, like you'd see in a store selling the single packets, the box was crushed because it was just put inside a regular bubble mailer envelope, not a shipping box. So the box got crushed during shipping, I was lucky that none of the packets broke open during shipping, it could have easily been a mess. So as long as I dissolve a packet ahead of time in room temperature water and then let it get cold in the fridge before I need it, this is a good product. It's not good for instant use if you want to add it to cold water because it won't dissolve completely. I'm on the fence about whether I'd buy it again. This flavor is hard for the stores to keep in stock for some reason. Now that I figured out the best way to use this product, it's not so bad, so I might buy it again.

Such a mess! Several of the packets burst open in transit and covered everything in the box. The other items in the order were washable so they survived but there’s Gatorade powder EVERYWHERE. Yikes! It’s probably better to know this now than, say, stick a packet in your backpack on a hike, and end up with everything a sticky powdery mess on the trail. I’ve never had this happen with other single serving drink powders including other Gatorade brand ones so it was pretty surprising. If you want to buy these anyway, I think you need to stick them in another container to carry with you.

I use Gatorade in one of my two water bottles while hiking, and recently tried these stronger packets. I cannot tell if they really help more than regular Gatorade, but they taste great, and are very convenient. I do use them in a slightly diluted form - one packet to a quart of water - but I think lots of people drink diluted Gatorade... One other point: I took several packets on a multi-day backpack, and we had to store food in a bear canister. Crammed in with a bunch of other items, one of these packets did spring a leak, but they were all in a baggie, so no damage done. Just be aware this can happen under pressure - and I think one also puffed up while I was flying. It would be better if they compressed more air out of the packets - but that's a small issue. By the way, we did have bears come into camp several times on that trip - but they did not bother the Gatorade. Or maybe that's why they tried to get into the bear canisters!

Tried this out since it's offered on the Houston Marathon course. Did not taste awful, and blended quickly, but just didn't sit well for me personally, stomach got a little cranky about 20 minutes after I started sipping. I tried a second packet hoping that diluting it a bit would help, but experienced another mild GI rebellion. It's a challenge finding a product that doesn't upset my stomach so perhaps don't read too much into my review, but there it is. I logged in feeling doubtful that I'd be able to return it but willing to try and prepared to send the box back minus the 2 packs I used, and was pleasantly surprised to get a full refund with no send back required. Very pleased with this customer service so that makes me very willing to try another Gatorade product in the future, and to offer these unused Gatorade packets to see if any my friends might like it.
