your Indian parents might feel it's cheap. I thought it would be heavy, but these cups are extremely light. I use it for drinking coffee. I usually mix instant coffee powder in normal water and heat the coffee using a microwave. No issues found. One of my relatives liked the design..they were surprised on how light it feels, they look heavy but are light.

Nothing to dislike. I liked the colour & it's lightweight. From my hands 2 mugs made of ceramic recently brokn. Ceramic is classic, but should be very careful. Whereas I think these mugs will not break. Comfort to handle.
