There are many many ways to dip your toe in to 10gbe networking in your home lab for the fun of doing it. Going with a card like this is one of them. I won't go into the rest of the details but with the cheap switches out there and then running cat6a or 7 cabling, its a cost effective way unless you just want to be fancy and use fiber. either way i'm speaking from a homelab perspective. this device does identify itself as an Intel chip set. There no windows 11 drivers stock so MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR CURRENT NIC ACTIVE to download the latest driver for this card. It runs cool and runs as expected. I will never reach full 10gbs speeds with my setup but i can fully saturate my solid state drives and my Raid 10 NAS with minimal effort. Which was my end goal. Literally the I/O on my storage devices are my bottleneck now. and that makes me happy.

Excellent genuine Intel 10GbE NIC. I was able to update the card firmware to the latest version using the Intel NVM update tool with no problem.

For clarity's sake, this is specifically for the single port SFP+ 10G NIC. I'm using this in a TrueNAS Scale server and this card works without fuss. TrueNAS picked it up immediately, no fussing with special drivers or anything. I'm using it with an off-brand DAC cable to a no-name 2.5G/10G combo switch and everything is coexisting peacefully. The build quality is good, and it comes with both the full-height and half-height brackets, which is nice. No manual or anything, but lets be honest, if you're getting a 10G SFP+ NIC, you probably don't need a manual anyway. The lspci command on Linux does confirm this as a proper Intel NIC as well, it's not a Realtek card in disguise or anything, and in case you're worried about it phoning home to some server somewhere, the Pi-Hole on my network confirms that it doesn't. For the price, it's well worth it.

Works fine if you plan on using this for a windows/linux based computer. This chipset has issues with VMware and, router os software like pfsense. I get expected network speeds on linux however, the windows drivers need a little work as my speeds fluctuate from 2.6-2.9Gbps on windows.

Update: The seller reached out and refunded the purchase after reading my review. I appreciate the refund, but I'd still be up the creek if I hadn't left a poor review. Upon researching, it seems most of these RTL8125 NICs face issues sooner or later. So do the Intel I225's. I'm currently waiting for an Intel I226 version to become available. Moral of the story: I should have just gone for 10 gig. I upgraded part of my home network to 2.5 and 10 gig for Christmas. Everything was great for a couple weeks. My 2.5/1 gig switch began having issues with slow traffic on all ports. Switching cables seemed to help, but problems returned. I finally had time to really test the issues today. Running iperf3 from my Ubuntu machine with this 2.5g NIC to my Truenas machine on 10g looked great on the first run. The following tests were progressively worse. Cable changes and running cable to my 10g switch directly made no difference. Switching back to my onboard 1g NIC remedied the issue immediately. The first picture is my main NAS to my back up NAS with 10g connection. Solid, no noise. The second is my workstation to back up NAS with this card. Abysmal speed with a ton of noise. The last picture is after switching back to onboard NIC going through both switches and all original wiring. Verdict, junk card. I'll be finding a more reliable product to replace this junk with.

Bought four, used four, worked great, no issues

Inserted into a spare pcie slot. Connected at 10Gbe without installing any additional drivers on pc running Windows 11.

It works well, but sometimes "freezes."

Funziona senza ulteriori driver già dalle versioni non recentissime di Unraid (6.10), mentre su Proxmox bisogna aggiornarli per far riconoscere la scheda RTL8125B

Instalado à dois meses. Aquece um bocado. Deveria no meu entender ter refrigeração ativa. Até agora tudo funciona no Windows. Dóis drivers de rede detectados o que no meu caso para máquinas virtuais foi muito útil. Consegui colocar uma porta de entrada de dados e outra de saída.

bien qu'il m'ait fallu restituer ce matériel suite à problème émanant d'un conflit pilote logiciel (impossibilité de configuration à + de 1GB malgré les bonnes maj des pilotes) , cela ne remet nullement en cause la qualité de cette carte réseau qui était conforme à la description fournie . il semblerait que cela provenait de la carte réseau realtek préinstallé sur la carte mère et ce malgré la désinstallation de son pilote et désactivation de ce périph . confirmation du bon fonctionnement souhaité (prise en compte du 2.5 GB ) suite à remplacement par une carte ethernet i 225 avec son pilote adéquat ... la restitution du matériel (en bonne et due forme ) s'est réalisé sans problème merci donc au service amazon pour cette prise en charge et qui m'a donc permis de racheter un nouveau matériel
