I have been a Gillette guy for many years having gone from Mach to Fusion, I have always said no other blade competes but there a new kid in town, I have a very tough stubble to get through and usually blunt a Gillette in two shaves but have found not only does the Hydro 3 give as close a shave but it definitely stays sharper for longer, even dry shaving it is very very good and therefore very strongly recommended.

I really like these razors. I've been a fairly long term user of Hydro 5 blades, and I was keen to try the difference between these and the much more expensive Hydro 5 blades. These are excellent - I think they maybe lose a little in the closeness of the shave, but gain a bit of maneuverability, they definitely feel a bit lighter and easier to use. They are excellent razors, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them if you want something a bit cheaper than a Hydro 5.

The green ones are rubbish compared to the blue ones. The quality is far less, so is the sharpness and comfort. You advertised the blue ones. You sent the green.

I turned to DE shaving (using Feather blades) nearly two years ago and haven't looked back; however, there are occasions where I need a "quick" shave, so I always have a Wilkinson sword shaver on hand. I've tried both the Hydro 3 and Hydro 5 blades, both generally give a good shave, but personally, I find the Hydro 5 blades give a slightly closer shave with the Hydro 3 blades feeling much more comfortable. For me, the Hydro 3 blades would get my overall vote. I haven't been able to compare these with a Gilette razor as I threw my Mach3 away nearly 10 years ago because the blades were never sharp enough.

I liked these razor blades. They provided a smooth experience which did not irritate my skin which is surprising because I have rather sensitive skin. Usually I have to buy razor heads with at least 4 blades before I can have a pleasant shaving experience. So for a set of heads which only have three blades in them, this is a very good set. Would definitely recommend to those of you who enjoy three bladed razor heads which provide as good a shave as a set with 4 or even five blades in it.
