I recently had surgery on both of my kidneys. I took this model to my doctor so he could show me what he did. He said it was an accurate rendition of a kidney.

Nice model of the right kidney, with a prominent adrenal gland. I really like this model because of the magnetic cutaway. It's very easy to open up take a peek inside, and it's not a big pain to put it back together again, like it is with other models. The major landmarks are all numbered, and it comes with a sheet to correspond with those labels, so just be sure you don't lose it. I can add this to my collection of other anatomical organs. Because every once in a while you need to describe Glomerulosclerosis, and having a model makes it so much easier.

This is a really nice model of the kidney and the adrenal (suprarenal) gland. The details of the cortex and medulla are a bit off, the cortex is shown extending too far into the core of the kidney. The details of the blood vessels is not present but the urinary drainage pathway is pretty good.
