I bought the 5-Step version which are great for reaching every conceivable household task. They are steady and robust with wide steps providing a great sense of security. The minimal assembly was straight-forward. I like the tool-tray at the top which makes life much easier and saves lots of ups-and-downs. One drawback is that they are quite heavy, so I would advise those that find difficulty moving things about to opt for a lighter set; If you still want the advantages these offer, perhaps opt for the 4- or 3-Step versions which would be lighter and more easily manoeuvred. Overall, I couldn’t be happier!

Excellent 5-step ladders with handrails and tool tray. Very sturdy and safe feeling. Delighted with purchase. They are quite heavy, but that's a good thing for safety. The handrails are fixed so don't fold away. We keep ours in the garage, so no problem, more difficult to store in small house without much cupboard space.

Overall: Highly recommended (but do check out the Cons below) Pros: • Well designed using high quality materials and components • Really sturdy and stable • Looks smart and stylish! • A spare one of each nut/bolt/washer/allen key is provided (no additional tools needed) • Worth the £109.97 I paid for it Cons: • Some self-assembly involved (which I didn’t expect). If you have any dexterity difficulties with your hands/fingers you will need a helper to apply bolts/nuts/washers at eight different points. • Weight: this is no flimsy, aluminium ‘rattle-ladder’. Made from coated, high-quality steel tubing, this item is not lightweight (but is certainly manageable, SAFE…and quiet. 😊)

I recieved my KINGRACK 5 step, folding ladder promptly and well packaged. At the time off purchase, the cost was £68.38 with the supplied discount voucher. You do need to assemble this ladder. Included in the package are easy to follow, instructions. It took me around 15 minutes to put everything together with the supplied tools. The actual structure is made from robust, high-strength steel with has a maximum weight capacity of 800lbs. They where not too heavy for me to move around but if you are an elderly person, you may find that you struggle slightly. When opened, the ladder forms a triangular structure that has a saftey-lock. This ladder comes with a very handy tool tray at the top. (DO NOT SIT ON THIS TRAY) It has segments for tools, a tin of paint, most things that you will use when doing DIY or painting. Along the sides are safety hand-rails which have been covered with soft sponge. This has been so handy for me, reducing the chance of my hands slipping when going up the ladder. The 5 wide steps are anti-slip. The four feet are also anti-slip. These ladders are exeptionaly well priced, even without a discount voucher. They have numerous safety features built in, which have been very important to me when using these ladders. I have used these ladders for the past 4 weeks to do several different tasks which have always made me feel very secure. I highly recommend these ladders.

I had an old aluminium ladder that was getting a bit unsafe. I ummed & ahhed about this ladder but I am so glad I did buy it. I am a fairly fit woman in my 60s and wanted a ladder that I felt safe on. The handrails on this make it so much easier to use. I had to mend the washing line in the garden today and needed to attach the line to a very high pole. The ladder lives in my shed where it stores neatly and compactly as it folds flat. It is easy to put up. I am usually nervous working at any height but the handrail and wide steps really do make a difference and I felt very comfortable. As it is nice and sturdy whereas usually I’d be reluctant to go up a couple of steps on a ladder I felt fine going up to the height I needed to reach the fittings on the pole. Made doing the job so much easier. It is heavier than an aluminium ladder but I am able to move and carry it on my own. I like how I can use it in the garden (on hard surfaces) and in the home.

Well made, sturdy pair of step ladders, bought to replace a set we'd had for over 40+ years. Good useful shelf for tools and excellent side bars for that litte extra support.

Sturdy, construction. Fairly easy to assemble. The Utility tray at the top is a really useful and practical safety feature, to help you work in a safe way. Not particularly lightweight but that’s a matter of personal strength - in any case you need a 5 step ladder to be structurally sound. I believe that they are very good value for money. Finally, the grips are very useful, my only criticism (minor) is that they may not prove to be very durable if you use the ladders on a daily basis. All in all, a very good product. How I wish that these things could be made in this country (or even Europe) for a similar price but I’m afraid that’s just an unrealistic dream… My apologies, I can’t post photos or videos at the time of writing.

These are very, very good. Arrived near ready assembled, just add top tray and handles. Very sturdy. Feel incredibly safe even at highest level. The wide steps contribute to this. Easy to manoeuvre too. I have very high ceilings and I'm quite short but can easily access near 10ft and beyond. Very impressed.

At 76 I’ve been told to stay off ladders. I know I’m not very steady. I have to ask my husband when I need to clean windows or reach items on shelves. I saw this ladder with the handrails. I ordered and it arrived quickly. It is a bit heavy because of its size, but extremely sturdy. My husband opened it and put it under our ceiling fan. In the past I’ve use a long handled duster to clean the blades. It does an ok job but it’s difficult to get the tops. This ladder has a nice platform for a bucket. I carefully climbed the ladder. Having those side handle rails made it easy. That ceiling fan has never looked cleaner. After I cleaned the fan, my husband got on it and replaced all 11 of our bedroom can lights!! I am very happy I purchased this ladder. Those rails are a safety feature more ladders should have. My husband has used it several times. It folds up and can be stored against a wall. I’ve put this in my closet behind clothes!

The KINGRACK 5 Step Ladder is very well made of heavy duty steel materials. Although not extremely heavy, this is no lightweight ladder, either. Assembly was quick and easy (attach tool tray and side rails) with supplied hardware. Everything needed, including a wrench, was provided. It took about ten minutes to unpack and assemble. A huge plus for this ladder is the wide (14+”), deep (7.8”) steps. These make climbing (up and down) easier, safer and more comfortable than typical thin slat type rungs. Each step has a non-skid rubberized covering for comfort and safety. The top step is extra deep (11.3”), which makes this a comfortable platform to work from. Another plus are the side rails that make climbing easier and safer. These rails have a nice foam padding that aid in a secure (and comfortable) grip while going up or down. The top rail (above the tool tray) is also padded and adds a gripping point when at the top of the ladder. When fully opened, the top step has a locking mechanism (the yellow tab – see photo) that secures the step in place and prevents the ladder from closing. Lifting the tab allows for quick and easy folding of the ladder once the job is complete. The tool tray has handy places for storing tools, holding paint cans or other items (nails, fasteners, clips, etc.) We have 8 foot ceilings in our home and this ladder now allows us to easily reach the top of cabinets, hang paintings high on the walls, change furnace filters in the ceiling air returns, etc. From a storage standpoint, the side rails do limit the storage options, as the rails extend about 6” from the folded frame, which is only about 3” thick when folded. This means you need a minimum of 9” total space if you want to slide this in between items, behind a door, etc. 5 STARS AND I DO RECOMMEND THIS ITEM I write honest reviews based on real life experience with each item to help others make informed purchases.
