An actual working stethoscope included. Wow for the price
Bought for Xmas for my daughter who is adamant that she would like to be a surgeon. Only had a quick look but seems, for the price, a great little set. The stethoscope is actually functional and I had a quick listen to my heart which really sounds dodgey so should probably get checked out. But then agai know I have no idea what I’m listening for! But in all seriousness, it looks good, just see how it goes on Xmas day

Never open the bacteria petri dish once sealed
I liked and didn't like this set. I am a biology teacher and it has given me some ideas I can use in class which was great, but several of the tasks suggested seemed very basic and lacking equipment and reliant on children making basic measurements and recording results keenly in tables. My son loved making the gelatin petri dishes to grow bacteria and fungi colonies on, but I think the health warnings not to ever ever ever open these dishes again we're not stressed enough for the danger they could pose (imagine inhaling billions of harmful bacteria in one breath, which could happen if a pathogenic bacteria landed on dish initially). The body organs and bones sticker sheets and body template were enjoyed by the 7 year old and the heart monitor was great fun. Overall it gave a few suitable tasks and was enjoyed so worth the money

Children will enjoy these experiments especially if working with an adult.
This was beyond expectation. Very good equipment, easy to follow instructions, informative. A good scientific approach encouraged: predict, test, conclude, write report. I used this with my 9 year old granddaughter and we both enjoyed the experiments. She was thorough in recording the results. The stethoscope was the real prize in this pack.

Great…. But missing stickers
Just opened the box, two stickers missing which is disappointing, other than that so far so good.

We love the Glat lab kits!
We’ve had the bubble, magnetic and body lab so far and think they’re great. Easy to follow and my son is learning a lot whilst really enjoying all the activities! Loved the bacteria growth and listening to our heart beats. Will be buying the next lab kit soon!
