Woodstock Chimes HWLC Large Heroic Windbell - Antique Copper, Brown, 40-Inch

I wanted a deep melodic chime in my garden and this Heroic Bell produces a sound reminiscent of a shipping buoy far out in the deep ocean or a church bell far across the hills and valleys. I hung the bell high up in a tree, the branches and foliage of which protect it from strong sharp blasts of wind. As a result the chimes tend to be gentler, emitting a soft melodic sound giving this sense of distance. Visitors have remarked on it thinking a distant church bell was ringing. Perfect. The sound is almost haunting yet evocative and would complement any garden. The construction of the bell is robust, waterproof and I'm sure it will last many years. Well worth the cost if you value your garden chimes.

Awesome. Bought myself one and loved it so much I got my bro one as a wedding present. They were mega pleased. Quality made, weighs a ton. Sounds awesome ! Takes a fair bit of wind but at least my bro knows when it's time to go windsurfing. Top items these and a fair price compared to others. Now I want the extra large but can only find in USA. Love mine. Hangs a beauty off my summer house.

This is a beautiful bell, not so much a chime. It has a deep tone, much like the Buddhist bells in the temples in Thailand. You can check out what this and other Woodstock chimes sound like by searching for them on Youtube. The bigger the bell, the better the sound (in my opinion).

After reading reviews I thought this could be good so I purchased from Amazon, arrived after 4 days, wasn't disappointed reading reviews saying heavy wind needed, it didn't quite need that for it to ring out, Lovely rich tone and a pleasure to hear this item is heavy make sure of a good fixing sit back and enjoy.

Lovely deep sounding wind chime, a different set up to the usual multi tube chimes which sometimes get tangled up. It’s different, I love it.

Really pleased with this chime. A very distinctive chime. It is well made which is handy as we live by the coast.

I love both the tone and quality of this wind chime, as others have said it sounds as if it was a fair distance away this adds to the appeal, a very pleasing sound which needs a fair gust of wind to chime, so it does not drive you crazy going off every 10 seconds

I love the sound of this bell, it’s very mellow and calming, however after just a week hung up outside, there are rust spots where the weld for the hook is and also on the hook itself, so not so robust, if your tempted by one, I’d suggest hanging it somewhere with a bit of shelter from the rain. I opted to use some copper hammerite paint to stop further rust on the affected paint.

Erano circa 2 anni che me la puntavo... a causa del prezzo. Oggi posso dire di essere contentissimo dell'acquisto. Produce un suono meraviglioso e basta un alito di vento per farla suonare. CONSIGLIATO!

Una campana de viento que no resulta molesta ni mucho menos, ya que necesita que la brisa sople con bastante intensidad para hacer sonar la propia campana. Sinceramente todas las personas que vienen a casa y lo ven, les llama la atención...., cuando lo escuchan quedan encantados. Un magnifico articulo que te acompañara en tu jardin con su precioso sonido....

To me this sounds beautiful and so calming. I bought it as a housewarming gift for a relative but his wife thought it sounded like a 'death' bell and so she mounted it as far away from her daily life as possible on the back of her shed where no wind blows. Well, when I get around to stealing it back, at least she won't care. In my opinion though, this is a well made, beautiful sounding chime.

This is a wind chime , not a breeze chime. It needs rather strong wind , which it can handle without getting battered or tangled. I have put a larger wind sail on mine to make it chime in less wind. It produces different notes depending on where the ball strikes the inside of the tube. Beautiful deep sound , something between a gong and a bell. Super quality . Will last forever . This is a very heavy chunk of steel. Be very sure that you know how to hang heavy objects . You would not want this thing to fall on someone.
