From the Publisher Review: Captivating, Complex, Heartwarming - This book was intriguing from the very beginning. Any story about the Titanic always grabs attention but this one was so well written with complex characters and plots. The stories are all interwoven so well to create a unique, heartfelt story about three different wealthy sisters and their personal struggles. Of course there is tragedy. What book about Titanic isn't? However, the stories of survival, of women who refused to go on lifeboats without their husbands, saying they had lived together, they would die together are reminders of a devoted love we so seldom find anymore. The author explains that while the Fortune sisters were real, she made adaptations to their histories because very little was truly known about what they did on the ship. This is the first book that I have read by this author but it will be far from my last. Outstanding historical novel! Review: Titanic based Love Story - I enjoyed the book. There are many characters but enjoyable even knowing the Titanic sad story. There are ups and downs.

Wonderful Historical Fiction!
Wonderfully written book about the Fortune Family from Winnipeg, Canada, on their homeward trip on the Titanic. The details about the voyage leading up to the disaster are exquisite and had me turning the pages, devouring the novel! The Fortune Family is based on a true account of the parents and their four grown children traveling home after a tour of Europe. One of the three daughters' names has been tweaked slightly, and the ending has been changed to reflect the fictional part of the novel, but unfortunately, Titanic still sinks. Beautiful novel!

Slow to get into it, but eventually get caught up in the story
I must admit, I struggled to get into this book. I would start it and put it down and then started again repeating this several times. Once it was obvious that something was brewing between flora and chess, I became more interested and I wanted to see what would happen to the two of them when the Titanic meditate. I finally got caught up in the story and by the time the Titanic struck the iceberg I was completely engrossed in it. I was very pleased with the way the story was wrapped up, with the passengers that survived and for the fortune family moving forward.

a borrowed story
This book was almost hand in glove with the epic movie Titanic. It’s story line is basically the same boy meets girl , finds love etc etc and other than the happy ending for the 2 main characters… it was the same story. Do yourself a favor and watch Titanic the movie…

Was Skeptical at First but a Good Read
To start the whole list of characters, who is who in the beginning turned me off. Maybe the author did it because it’s a historical novel with actual historical figures. That aside, it took a while to get into the story line, there were several moments when I wondered if I would be able to finish it but the last 1/4 of the book made the slow parts worth while. It’s a hard read on a good day since you know some of the major characters are going to die but you aren’t sure who. And she did a fantastic job with the actual impact, sinking, what those last moments were like, and what it was like for the survivors. In the end I stayed up until 1am to finish the book. So if you’re on the fence, I’d say jump off to the other side, it’s worth it.

Entertainment by getting to know more about real people on Titanic
Some real characters on Titanic mixes well with the fixational ones. The Fortune sisters were really passengers but were successful in avoiding much notoriety as they traveled with the more notorious people like the Astors. Many mega rich were able to travel abroad back then but middle class and well to do businessmen and their families traveled Europe and the Mediterranean countries less often and sometimes only once in a lifetime. Depicting the life on the Titanic from reports given in the days following the tragic event given to reporters by survivors willing to relay their experiences, Anna Lee Huber put me right in their midst. It was a page turner even though I knew what was ahead of them.
