The alarms works as advertised. Text book case, we had a power outage at 4am while we were asleep. The alarms were activated, they were loud, and woke us up. We were able to take the necessary actions to prevent any damage. Definitely deserve five stars.

Saved my garage fridge. Lost power to the garage during a storm and this little guy started screaming. Caught it in plenty of time to run a drop cord to another outlet. Product works. Paid for itself after only a month vs losing my fridge contents.

I purchased the Briidea Power Failure Outage Alarm to protect a refrigerator/freezer in my garage. The alarm does block the second socket if plugged into the upper socket of a wall outlet. However, I purchased the TROND Outlet Extender Surge Protector - Multi Plug Wall Outlet solve this problem. Plug the TROND outlet extender into the upper socket of the wall outlet, and the Briidea Power Failure Outage Alarm into the right-most socket on the flat front of the TROND unit . The lower socket of the wall outlet will now be available for use. I plugged the remaining three sockets on the TROND unit with child safety caps to keep out spiders. I have had a complete power failure since this installation and the alarm works perfectly. With the alarm set to the high setting I could hear the alarm well within the interior of the house. I am assured that I will certainly be alerted if the circuit breaker fails for that outlet. I will definitely be purchasing more of these alarms for the dehumidifiers & sump pumps in my basement.

This thing works too well! I don't know if my outlet is jumping off by itself or if this alarm is making it jump off. However, it's just loud enough at mid range for everyone in the house to hear it. It is worth it if you're in need of knowing when an important appliance has shut off bc of an outage due to weather or something else.

I like the alarm very much for what it does. Loud, easy to operate. BUT, this item will use one plug in a duplex outlet and block the other. You can plug this alarm into an outlet socket and plug one item into the alarm itself. That's it. Plus, don't expect to get 2 alarms if you order the 2-pack like I did. I received a one pack, tried to explain missing item to Amazon robots, was directed to set up return and the original order for a 2-pack would be sent out. Got another 1 pack. Who knows what I'll end up paying...

These work well. The quietest setting is plenty loud (for my bedroom). I definitely recommend. Durability: They’re solid and the alarm works fine.

We bought this for our garage fridge/freezer and it’s the smartest thing we ever did. If a breaker trips or the power goes out you’re going to know about it right away and can salvage the contents before anything defrosts. It’s an absolute must have for peace of mind. The alert has a few volume settings for your preference and yes you can hear this in other parts of the house. This costs a lot less than having to throw out all your defrosted meat!!

This is a 10/10. We purchased this for our basement freezer after a power outage caused us to lose a freezer full of meat and breast milk. This has given us peace of mind and has alerted us to outages immediately.

We use it for a freezer located in the basement. One day I noticed there was no power to the freezer. The electrical breaker had tripped. Fortunately, I discovered it before the products thawed. We decided to order this to let us know if the breaker trips again. Excellent product.

For the price.......and stop losing a freezer full of items especially meat...and having to throw away the appliance...everyone should have one (the appliances should have them built in!!)

This product will do exactly what I need it to. I tested it right away and the alarm can be quite loud. The only downside to this product is that it covers both plugs on a receptacle no matter what. You will only be able to use this device, with something plugged into it, and nothing else.

I love it when a product just works, and costs a fraction of what other similar products do. A safe buy.
