I have caught 3 moles with these traps; they are the cheapest effective method of sorting out your mole problem. Don't hesitate!
These traps are brilliant value for money. They are solid and well made. They are rust resistant and will definitely catch a mole if used correctly and placed in the right spot. YouTube has lots of videos showing how and where to set your traps and a little time researching the subject will be time well spent. If you are thinking of trying to catch a mole yourself, these traps represent the cheapest effective method of doing it. Don’t hesitate. I have four of these mole traps now and so far I have caught four moles. (I say three in the video, but I had forgotten mole number two which took me a long time to catch! I started out with one of these cheap traps and another considerably more expensive trap and I caught my first mole (in the expensive trap) within a couple of days. At the time, I had two active moles and I caught number two a few weeks later in one of these cheap traps. Then after a few months I noticed a lot more mole activity (I reckon three more moles) and set my two traps again. I waited a couple of weeks, moving the traps every few days with no luck and then I decided to purchase another three of these traps, as I figured the more traps I had, the more chance I had of catching the mole. Once I received the other three traps I set them up and a few days later I had caught mole number three, again in one of these cheap traps. I moved the traps again to try and catch mole number 4 and the very next day I had caught it (this is the one in the video). I am now hoping to catch mole number 5 and in the video I demonstrate how I set the traps and show what equipment I use. So, I have caught three out of the four moles with this type of trap. I do not think it has anything to do with the type of trap used; I think it is down to where and how you set them.

Brilliant - worked first time
Arrived yesterday afternoon and set it up straight away, you have to be very careful and it needs a bit of strength but got it done. Make sure you wear gloves so as not to leave your scent on the trap. I used an old pair of gardening gloves. This morning one mole caught. Have re-set it in case there are more, but looks like we will be able to get our lawn back soon. Highly recommend this product

Effective Trap
This is a very good trap and sorted out the issue l had. The only thing you need to do is make sure you do your homework on the mole. Sounds crazy but if you don't much about him you will not catch him. They are shrewd little creatures. First, you need to find the correct tunnels he is using (feeding tunnels work well) once you have found the best location a (feeding tunnel or a tunnel between 2 molehills) you need to understand how to set the trap. There are lots of videos on line for this. Make sure its very tight in the ground i.e. only cut a hole the same width of the trap. I had no success at first but you need to learn from your mistakes - what did you do that didnt work. Fix this and you will improve. I also found that covering the trap with soil really worked for me as if ANY light gets into the hole you wont catch him. Also if you don't trap in a few days move it to another location - l got 2 traps and moved them around. Its a bit of a game of cat and mouse but if you install the trap correctly and pick a good location its only a matter of time before his luck runs out. Happy trapping.

Difficult to use
Product is reasonably built and priced but after one week has failed to catch anything. It is difficult to set the actuation ring in line with the trap jaws. Difficult to identify which run the mole will take. Mole hills popping up in different locations so perhaps would work better with multiple simultaneous traps in place. Update - I added two more traps to the area and also watched video on how to set. Caught the little blighter the next day. Yippee!
