J Hooks for 2" x 2" Power Rack, Rubber Pad J-Hook for Power Cage, Bottom Reinforced Steel J Cups for Squat Rack, Heavy Duty Barbell Holder, Black

I have a ForceUSA G15 that has 2"x2" uprights with 5/8" holes. I love everything about my G15 except the J-hooks it came with, which have a design from the 1970's. I wanted a J-hook with an upright/vertical portion, that has a pad on it, to lean the bar into. This is the safest way to re-rack the barbell and the best way to protect the bar as well. The J-hooks my half-rack came with only had the horizontal portion, with no upright/vertical part, which in this day and age is terrible. The G15 has uncommon dimensions for the half rack - 2"x2" with 5/8" holes. There are very few j-hooks on the market that fit this size. I had previously purchased a pair of j-hooks on Amazon from Seleware that were definitely an upgrade from the crap j-hooks the G15 came with, but they only have one bracket that holds the j-hook in place on the upright. The Seleware model looks almost identical to this Ainafix j-hook, but the Ainafix j-hook has the double brackets to hold the j-hook in place. The Ainafix j-hook is WAY more sturdy than the Seleware. Very pleased that this double bracket model now exists. The single bracket version toggles when you set the weighted bar on it and it just felt unsafe, as if it could come out, though it never did. The 2-bracket Ainafix j-hook has no toggling/motion when racking the bar and is silent. It just feels way more solid and safe. Very glad this product now exists. both of my Ainafix j-hooks do have significant chips in the black powder coat on the same corner, where the bare metal is exposed. I'm not sure if this is from packaging or happened during the manufacturing process, since the powder coat defect is in the exact same spot on both j-hooks. this does not impact the function of the j-hooks at all, it's just annoying. All in all, very please with this product. It is a massive upgrade on the ForceUSA G15 j-hooks and on the Seleware 2"x2" with 5/8" pin j-hooks. Maybe ForceUSA could contract with these guys for their G15 j-hooks since they refuse to make their G20 j-hooks for the G15. If you have a half or full rack with 2"x2" uprights and 5/8" pin holes, this is a very nice upgrade if you have substandard j-hooks, and for a reasonable price. Time will tell how durable the rubber is. Would be great to have an UHMW-PE covering/padding, and would be great if Ainafix would make a "sandwich" style 2"x2" j-hook with 5/8" pin where the UHMW-PE totally wraps around the lip of the j-hook, so you don't ever have to worry about your barbell hitting metal if you start to miss a re-rack.

Bought a budget power rack for a small home gym. The hooks it came with are incredibly basic and small, where the bar would accidentally rest on the top part of the hook instead of on it. These are tall enough to prevent that. Hook safely and snugly on the rack without worry of it somehow coming out, too. The cushion pads on it are also nice so no excessive clanging. Great quality and they function as intended, definitely recommend.

Better than the hooks that came with the squat rack. They fit perfectly on to my Fitness Reality squat rack and hold a lot a weight!

Fit rack perfectly. With the added adhesive pads the cups are nice and tight.

Bought the to use instead of my stock j hooks and I do prefer these more. They feel safer amd the quality of them seem great. Seem to be constructed from good heavy steel.

The pin size on these are for lighter duty racks so it’s smaller (5/8). But they are very strong, look great and measure exactly as the specs.

These feel really sturdy and have nice padding. Definitely an upgrade from the basic ones that came with my rack. Might replace those too!

The weld on the arms that hold it onto your rack is super thin. I had one of these completely break apart when I was lightly racking just 180lbs. Don’t risk it. Buy a J hook that’s a solid piece of metal instead.
