Not cordless. Does. Or project image but does throw light up.
The base does not charge, it has a cord. This is a very pretty light and was well received by my sister. However, it does not “project” the image onto the ceiling as I expected. It is bright for a nightlight but is being used near a stairway so is a pretty addition. The ball is the stated size, a bit over 3”. They have started surprising each other by laying different colors of fabric over it. Fun.

Cool Night Light
My 11year old grandson loves this. He said he not only loves looking at it, it makes a great night light for his room. His exact words were “this is so cool Mamie”.

Perfect gift!
