Good Battery but Issue with the Listing
This offer is for a genuine China made Ricoh/Pentax battery, but there is some misleading language in the listing. In two locations the wording "2 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included)" is used, and in the comparison table wording also alludes to "2 batteries" which make one think the offer is for two camera batteries. That wording probably comes from the manufacture who is trying to say there are 2 CELLS in the singular battery. This purchase is for ONE "battery" and not two. The listing could also be improved by showing the underside of the battery with label information. Otherwise, this is a great offering for a brand name battery of recent manufacture. This size battery is used in a good number of Pentax brand cameras and the fact that it is rechargeable is a definite plus. They give relatively long life with good capacity and can be easily recharged in a few hours using a Pentax charger.

OEM batteries are better built.
Spend the extra money and buy Pentax OEM batteries. These work great in my K5ii. I have several spares/backups for heavy shooting. As a testament to their durability and longevity I am still using the ORIGINAL battery that came with the camera...13 years ago! Buy the OEM's. They last AND hold a charge better.

Best for Pentax cameras
I've been using pentax cameras since they were introduced, and since the DSLR's came out I've found that no other batteries work as well or last as long for me as the Pentax brand batteries. I have two Pentax batteries for my K20D that are 15 years old and still last a long time in storage or in the camera. So, when I bought a K1 MkII I bought a spare Pentax brand battery for it and I haven't been disappointed. You just can't go wrong using Pentax batteries in Pentax cameras, in my opinion.

Working well so far
Haven't used it long enough to let it completely die or see the time for you on that but seems to work great.

Very good battery and worth the price in my opinion
It's Pentax. What more is there to say? Very good battery and worth the price in my opinion. Just bought a new K3 and got this for a 2nd battery so I haven't had a chance to see how durable it is. I have had several generic brand batteries in the past and they don't seem to last. I was using one with my K20D a couple of years ago and when I turned the camera on, the main board got "fried" which was a $280 repair at C.R.I.S. It may not have been due to the battery, but I didn't take any chances and tossed the battery in the trash.

I don't recommend generic battery for your DSLR cameras.
I used aftermarket or generics for different items . In some cases they were a success and yes money saved. For this item I did the same thing. It charged but when I tried to load it to take some pictures the cap was acting to close. I finally managed only to see my camera turn on and keep blinking. It did not happen before or not for so long. I turned the camera off took the generic battery out thats when I found there is a hole and some melted plastic. This was the reason the cap would not close easily. I only hope nothing happened to camera. These cameras are made to last long. However my Pentax Kr which I bought brand new from another site with Shutter count less than 300 died after a loud noise. I only could salvage the lens for $50. Yes $650 loss. Was that Kr a lemon I don't know but warranty was for 5 month. Too late but without saying all generics batteries are bad I only want to use the original Pentax parts. Therefore, I think you should be the judge and make your own decision JUST A THOUGHT. Good luck

Good extra battery for your own peace of mind in photography.
After investing a lot of money for the DSLR, I believe its better for someone to invest in Pentax battery and not to take risk with third party ones. I am happy with this extra battery, even though for my K3, one battery is enough to last me many days. It works and lasts like the battery which came along with the camera.

Always buy an original Pentax D-L190 battery. The knock-off ...
Always buy an original Pentax D-L190 battery. The knock-off brands are not as reliable. They tend to run out of power faster and are not reliable when it comes to durability and cold and heat resistant. The Pentax D-L190E Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batter meets (exceeds) all my needs and after dumping several knock-off brands I still am using my original Pentax battery that came with the K3 camera. My recent order was to use as back up batteries and I can be assured that I'll have lots of power for long shoots.
