This is one of those items you may only use once, but that one time will be a godsend. I flashed my motherboard BIOS to update in prep for a new cpu, however unbeknown to me they had silently removed support for older cpus in the updated bios! So I had a bricked motherboard, this little gadget allowed me to directly flash the chip on the board itself to restore an earlier version, I had to slightly cut a bit of the plastic away from the clip but that's more due to the placement of the chip on my board as opposed to a problem with the clip itself, end result was a fully working pc again.

Finally got around to using this, but unfortunately the quality is so pathetically poor for the chip clip that I was unable to actually use the product. It never once made a good connection on the chip, and then the plastic grips meant to hold onto the chip became all bent and crushed, making it even harder to get a good connection. Would not recommend this product, just buy individual chip leg clips instead.

I purchased this to sort out a password-locked BIOS chip for an old laptop and it worked perfectly. The kit comes with a multitude of connection options and the clip made short work of connectig to the BIOS chip without the need for desoldering. It offers excellent value for money and is highly recommended

The programmer requires a mod It supplies 3.3v to the positive pin on the ic But data lines are 5v the mod brings the data lines to 3.3v You may get away with it but also it may damage your ic There are plenty of you tube videos online that show you how to correct this issue

Es soll ein CH341A Chip sein. Aber verbaut ist ein alter Chip von CH341B. Ich habe mit zwei Laptops ausprobiert. Das BIOS Flash-Programm NeoProgrammer erkennt zwei den USB, kann aber BIOS nicht ablesen (IC not responding). Ich habe ChatGPT über die Ursache gefragt. Es sollte in CH341B liegen. Ich gebe den Müll zurück!

Had to send the first one back. Missing parts and a bad socket. But all else was fine. Replacement came and worked perfect. Used to reprogram bios chip on a Lenovo ideapad 5 15are05. But it didn’t last long because the ec chip is bad. And I’m not spending 800$ on a programmer for that chip lmao.
